Optical Shipping FAQ’s
14712 Sinclair Circle, Suite B • Tustin • CA • 92780 • www.deliver-it.com
1. When will the new Optical Network take effect?
March 17, 2014
2. Why did VSP make the change?
VSP teamed up with Deliver-‐It, a seasoned regional courier company, in an effort to create a new solution that resulted in the best possible shipping experience for its clients. This included superior tracking capabilities, greater pickup flexibility with the highest level of professionalism.
3. What is the main change I can expect to see?
No more waiting. You will no longer need to request pre-‐printed labels and have to wait for them to be mailed out to you. You will be able to immediately print and use your 6 per page labels by visiting www.deliver-‐it.com/optical and filling out the required fields (one time entry).
4. How can I find out ahead of time if a Deliver-‐It driver will be coming by today?
When a lab sends out a package for delivery, an automatic email notification will be sent to the receiving doctor. In order to receive notification, participating doctors must first provide their email address to the lab. Please note that your delivery times might change, however, a new established time pattern will occur very shortly.
5. Do I need to request a pickup?
Yes. To request a pickup simply log onto www.deliver-‐it.com/optical and fill out the required fields (one time entry). Choose from the Pickup and Label Creation options to proceed and book your order. Pickup requests received before 11 pm will be scheduled for collection the next business day between 7 am and 3:30 pm, with delivery to the lab the following morning. TIP: Please include any special pickup instructions regarding office hours and available pickup times so that our drivers do not miss you.
6. Is there a charge for requesting a driver to pick up my package?
No. All pickup requests submitted online are complementary, as well as any package given to a Deliver-‐It driver. All packages require a Deliver-‐It bar-‐coded label that can be generated from Deliver-‐It’s Optical website portal.
