MINUTES OF 148TH MEETING OF NORTHERN REGIONAL COMMITTEE HELD FROM 28TH TO 30TH AUGUST 2009


The 148th meeting of the Northern Regional Committee (NRC), National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) was held from 28th to 30th

August, 2009 at Jaipur. The following members and convener were present:

The built up area earmarked for B.Ed. in the upcoming building is not as per NCTE norms for B.Ed. Not to talk of B.Ed. additional (proposed) and M.Ed. (proposed), the built up space is not sufficient even to run the present B.Ed. course.

Out of 1161.2 Sq.m, two rooms measuring 1303 sq. ft. were found locked and told to be dumped with all sort of construction material.

None of the appointed Principal and eight B.Ed. lecturers was present during inspection.

As per affidavit, original mark sheets were not made available to the VT members.

Mr. Kanhaya Kumar Yadav, being not PG and B.Ed., is not qualified as per NCTE norms for B.Ed.

All rooms and other classrooms have school furniture. There is no Multipurpose Hall, Work-experience room, Arts

and craft room, seminar room, and separate rooms for Faculty.

Science lab does not have multiple sets of apparatus and material required to perform practical as per syllabus.

Three computers are not sufficient for 100 students. Computer lab has got only slabs, no fittings, no computers

or furniture of any kind. The titles of books in the library are not as per NCTE norms
