    From Ontario County Journal 26 April 1912 The funeral services of Mrs. Mary Dubler, aged 58 years, whose death occurred at the home of herdaughter, Mrs. William Raymond, Mason street, last Friday, were held from St. Mary's church on Monday morning. Mrs. Dubler had been an invalidfor several years. She leaves four sons, John of Clifton Springs, Edward of Rochester, Charles and Barney Dubler of Canandaigua; four daughters,Mrs. George Knapp of Brockport, Miss Mary Dubler and Mrs. Raymond, of this village; also one sister, Mrs. Jacob Remery of Chapin.

    27 Sept 1967 Daily Messenger Canandaigua- Charles F Dubler - Charles F Dubler dies unexpectedlyTuesday evening at his home, 426 South Main St. Mr. Dubler was born in the Town of Palmyra, the son ofthe late Edward and Mary P Ollet Dobbelaere. He was a veteran of World War I. He had been employed asengineer on the Lehigh Valley Railroad until his retirement in October 1964. He was a member of St. Mary'sChurch, its Holy Name Society, and Turner Schreder American Legion of Shortsville. Survivors are his wifeElizabeth Hillard Dubler, whom he married in 1943; two sisters, Mrs. William (Louise) Raymond of Avon,and Miss Mary Dubler of Rochester; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild, and several nieces andnephews. Friends may call today from 7 to 9pm, and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm at the McElwee andSon Funeral Home where a prayer service will be held Friday at 8:30am followed by a Mass at 9am in St.Mary's Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

    Charles married Elizabeth Sennet Hilliard, daughter of Patrick and Mary Sennett, in 1943. Elizabethwas born on 22 Jul 1893. At age 16, she was a servant doing housework in East Bloomfield.     14. Amelia 'Emma' Louise VanDeVelde Tollenaere Tanghe (daughter of Amelie Dobbelaere VanDeVelde, Pieter Joannes,Joannes Francies) was born on 15 May 1868 in Schoondyke, Zeeland, Holland. Amelia immigrated on 14 Mar 1872 arriving inthe United States on the day before her 4th birthday. In 1900, she lived in Manchester, Ontario, New York, when her firsthusband died, leaving her a widow at age 33. She had 9 children of which only 5 lived. In 1906, she remarried and had 3children with her second husband, only 2 lived. She died in 1930 of Gull Bladder cancer in NY.

    Amelia married (1) Edward Tollenaere in approximately 1886. Edward was born in Holland. He died on 1 Feb 1900 in CliftonSprings, NY, just 3 weeks before the birth of his last child. It is possible that his name was Charles Edward Tollenaere.

    18. Frank Ludwig (Alphonsius Ludovikus) Dubler (son of Edward Bernard, Pieter Joannes, Joannes Francies) was born on 18Nov 1876 in Schoondyke, Zeeland, Holland. He immigrated on 27 Mar 1882 at the age of 3. Frank died on 15 Jul 1911 inClifton Springs, Manchester, Ontario Co, NY from a serious farm machine accident at age 32. He was buried in St AgnesCemetery Manchester NY.

    From Shortsville Enterprise 21 July 1911 Last week Wednesday afternoon while Frank Dubler, who resided about two miles north of Clifton Springson the A. Jay Short farm, was assisting his neighbor, John Peters, to spray potatoes, he fell from the spraying machine and received such injuries asto cause his death the following Saturday. Mr. Dubler was driving the team and was sitting on the front of the sprayer, when the machine struck alarge stone and the jar was sufficient to knock him from his position. He struck the ground on his head and fell directly in front of one of the wheels,which, instead of passing over him, pushed him along for several feet. His companion stopped the horses as quickly as possible and removed himfrom beneath the machine. Mr. Peters saw that Dubler was seriously injured and telephoned to Clifton Springs for a physician, who found him to beparalyzed and conscious only a portion of the time. His condition grew worse and the next day he was removed to the annex of the sanitarium in thatvillage where an operation was performed in the hopes of saving his life. Everything possible was done to relieve his condition, but he gradually grewworse until Saturday, when death put an end to his terrible suffering. Mr. Dubler was aged 32 years, and had spent nearly his whole life in this

    vicinity. He had worked at the factory of the Shortsville Wheel Company for some time and was always a popular young man with his fellowworkmen. His wife is a sister of Gottlieb Walter of East avenue. Beside his wife, he leaves two children, a mother and several sisters and brothers.

    Frank married Theresa ‘Daisy’ A Walters Dubler Bunce, daughter of Gottlieb Walters and Margaret (Maggie) Figenscher,both of Germany, on 18 Feb 1901 in Clifton Springs, NY. Daisy was born on 2 Jan 1882 in Rochester New York. Daisyremarried John J. Bunce on 2 Apr 1913 and had two sons, William and Harold. She was widowed again in 1926. Daisy died in1973 in Manchester, Ontario Co, NY. She was buried in 1973 in St Agnes Cemetery Manchester NY with her first husband.

    Marriage BUNCE JOHN DUBLER DAISY 1913 THE VICTOR HERALD April 4, 1913 Front Pg, col 5 BUNCE - DUBLER - The marriage of Mrs.Daisy DUBLER of Clifton Springs to John BUNCE of this place, was solemnized at St. Felix Catholic church in Clifton Springs on Wednesdaymorning, April 2nd. The Rev. Felix J. O'HANLON, priest of the parish, performed the ceremony. A wedding breakfast was served at the home of thebride's brother, George WALTERS. Mr. and Mrs. BUNCE came of Wednesday to their home on a farm near this village. Victor friends extendcongratulations and good wishes.

    26 June 1926 The Daily Messenger - John Bunce, late of Victor, left property aggregating $3,030. From this was deducted $350 in debts,commissions and expenses, leaving $2680, of which Daisy Bunce, widow, William and Harold Bunce, sons, all of Victor each receive $893.84

    6 Mar 1973 The Daily Messenger - Mrs. Daisy Bunce- Mrs. Daisy Bunce, 91, of Clifton Springs, died yesterday in the County Home and Infirmaryafter a long illness, She was born in Manchester and lived here for more than 50 years. She was employed by the Clifton Springs Hospital andretired in 1957. She was a member of St. Felix Church and its Rosary Society. Mr. Loganwas employed at Victor Insulator for 12 years and for 23 years at the Veterans Hospital in Canandaigua.For 40 years, the Logans' opened their home to foster children from Monroe County. During that time they were fosterparents to 15 children. Five of the 15 children were able to return home with their families to attend the celebration.     10 Aug 1939- The Daily Messenger, Canandaigua- Nurses Hold 13th Reunion- Mrs. Alice VanDuyne Dubler, of Manchester, washostess for the 13th annual reunion of nurses graduated from the training school of the Canandaigua Hospital of Physicians andSurgeons (Beaham Hospital) which was discontinued in 1921. Dr. Beaham, one of Canandaigua's leading physicians, founded inJune 1898. In 1903 it was enlarged and the training school established. This closing when the institution was discontinued in1921. It was the only general hospital in Canandaigua until 1904 when Thompson Memorial Hospital was opened. (not completearticle)

    17 Jul 1945 -The Livingston Republic - Captain Eugene T. Donovan, with the 330th Infantry in Europe, husband of Mrs. Verna Donovan of 29 OakStreet, Geneseo has been awarded the Bronze Star Medal for meritorious service against an enemy of the United States of America, while actingas Battalion Surgeon, Medical Detachment, during the period of September 3, 1944 to May 8, 1945. During the campaigns of France, Luxembourgand Germany, Captain Donovan has been under intense enemy artillery fire, and small arms fire while visiting front line troops to give them medicalaid, and getting them evacuated. The excellent work of Captain Donovan has materially aided in maintaining a high state of morale among the frontline fighting troops.
