Do you broomball? October 30, 2015 Build a broom It may not be snowing (yet…) but the start of the Broomball season is fast approaching. Before you can grab a broom and helmet to take the ice, make sure youve looked over the following steps: MAKE PAYMENT - The first round of invoices go out Wednesday, November 4th and are due back by the end of the day on November 9.. Teams pay as one lump sum online through MyMichiganTech or at the Cashiers Office. (Payments made at the Cashiers Office require a printed copy of the invoice, a completed Broomball form found on our website, and the payment). SIGN WAIVER - Every player must sign their waiver online the day before their first game! Waivers are signed through the link at broomball.mtu.edu and simply require a few checked boxes and your ISO. No waiver = no play. No paper waivers are accepted. GATHER EQUIPMENT - In case you werent aware, winters at Michigan Tech are cold. Make sure you have attire that will keep you warm and dry . Most weather-related injuries occur when your skin becomes damp and cold. READ THE RULEBOOK - Whether youre a 5th year broomball veteran or just beginning your career, it is important to understand the rules. Every year the rules are adjusted to make the game safer and more fun, so make sure you know what to do before hitting the ice. Questions about the team registration?
