Do Not Ask Me to Remember
Do not ask me to remember,Don’t try to make me understand,
Let me rest and Know you’re with me,Kiss my cheek and hold my hand.I’m confused beyond your concept,
I am sad and sick and lost. All I know is that I need youTo be with me at all cost.
Do not lose your patience with me,Do not scold or curse or cry,I can’t help the way I’m acting,Can’t be different though I try.Just remember that I need you,
That the best of me is gone, Please don’t fail to stand beside me,
Love me ‘til my life is done. - Owen Darnell

Muriel the fourth child of Cecil and Mary (nee Salm) Gay was born on January
13, 1935, at her grandparent’s home on the farm near Tisdale, SK. Most of
her school years were spent in the Arpsville School. Her grade 12 year was
taken in Saskatoon and then she went on to Teachers College. She taught her
first year at the Oriole School and moved to Naicam where she taught for 30
years. She met her husband Lloyd in 1958 and they were married on
July 2, 1960. Their union was blessed with two children, Ron and
Noreen. Following retirement, in the winter months, they enjoyed
skiing, square dancing, and bowling. In the summer months
they enjoyed golfing. One of her favourites, no matter the
season was coffee with her dear friend and neighbor, Myrna.
Muriel will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her
two children, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren:
