Dear Rotaractors,

I am very much hopeful that you all are reading this DML with

you high spirits and enthusiasm . You are receiving this 6th DML

out of 12 for the year. As you know we are doing lots of work for

the betterment of Rotary, Rotaract & its visibility in real manner. I

am sure every member of every club is with us. I must

congratulate Rtr. Yahya M. Varola (ZRR Jinnah Zone) and his

dedicated team on organizing Zonal Conference for the

rotaractors of Jinnah Zone. Nevertheless my amazing DML Team

is doing some wonderful job on bringing your reports in DML

format and giving them life as well. It is my due request to every

club do send your club reports for every month on time to the

district secretariat don’t wait for the last date.

I believe that all the clubs are eying club elections in this month,

because you have to report your club president & secretary

elect to DRRE before or 1st of March 2016.

Rotaware-Hyderabad

Rotaractors Training Program “ROTAWARE organized by Rotaract Club of Hyderabad Qasimabad. Two days Training Program “ROTAWARE” was held on 23 & 24 January, 2016 in

Hyderabad under the auspices of Rotaract Club of Hyderabad Qasimabad at

Abdullah Sport Towers. As many as 06 Rotaract Clubs from Hyderabad,

Nawabshah and Mirpurkhas participated in the training program.

Rotary District leadership viz. PP Irfan Qureshi, District Chair, Public Image, PP

Imran Khan, PP Arif Siddiqui highlighted the importance of Rotary, its role in the

community and the current challenges. They also shed light on the role which

Rotaractors can play in support of Rotary as well as community. Guest speakers

including Mr. Mateen Akhter, Ghulam Mursalin Ghori and Mr. Sumair Baloch also

expressed their views for the enhancement of motivational, ideological and

professional skills in Rotaractors.

Speaking at the closing ceremony Rtn. Jahangir Mughal, District Governor

lauded the efforts of DRR Rtr. Arsalan Liaquat, Rtr. Engr. Hammadullah Sohu,

District Secretary and their team on organizing such a wonderful event. He

added that future of Rotary is in the hands of Rotaractors therefore they

(Rotaractors) must equip themselves with maximum Rotary knowledge which will

help in discharging their obligations. DG further said that he brought the first lady

and his son in the program to express full support to Rotaractors.

DGN Ovais Ahmed Kohari, PDG. Pir Syed Ebrahim Shah, AG. Ali Hafiz Azmat &

Rtn. Imtiaz David (Past Rotaractor) also graced the occasion. They appreciated

District Rotaractors leadership for organizing the training program and hope that

training programs will held with regular intervals in future.

In his closing remarks by DRR offered special thanks to DG. Jahangir Mughal. He

also expressed his sincere thanks to all Rotarians who came all the way from

Karachi and other cities. DRR Rtr. Arsalan Liaquat announced that next

ROTAWARE will be held at Khairpur and Karachi. He expressed his gratitude to

Abdullah Builders & Developers for the support in organizing the event. At the

end of 1st day session, event participants toured the Hyderabad city as a part of

fellowship.

RAC-KARACHI GARDEN

DRR’s Visit We feel honor that on 3rd January-2016 DRR official visit was successfully conducted

by Rotaract Club of Karachi Garden. In it a meeting was arranged where DRR

shared his knowledge of Rotaract with us and we learned a lot from it. Meeting was

followed by dinner and then souvenirs and Rotaract Club of Karachi Garden T-shirts

were given to Rotaract District office bearers. We are thankful to DRR. Mr. Arsalan,

District Secretary Mr. HamadUllah Sohu, District Joint Secretary Mr. Muzammil Jawed,

President of Rotary Club Karachi Garden Madam Syeda Simran Hassan and Rotarian

Siraat (Career Counseling) Rotaract Club of Karachi Garden organized “Siraat” a career counseling seminar

on 27th December-2015 at Paradise Banquet, Orangi Town, Sector 11 ½, Karachi. In

this event we imparted in depth information about career to matriculation students.

The meeting kicked off with presentations of professional trainers which helped

students to think out of the box. Our comedians and singer made the day joyful. We

successfully had participation of more than 280 students out of which we awarded

trophies and certificates to students who achieved A+ grade in their Matriculation

Examinations. Moreover, Al-Khair Commerce coaching center announced 100%

scholarship on behalf of Rotaract Club Karachi Garden in Siraat. We would like to

thanks our chief guests PDG Akhter Alvi, Rotarian Madam Simran Hasan (President

of Rotary Club Karachi Garden), Rotarian Mr. Shehriyar and Joint Dist. Secretary Mr.

Muzammil Jawed for their presence.

After many successful events Rotaract Kolachi got the honored from Rotary Club of East , Rotaract Kolachi and President Dr Anum was invited by Rotaract Club of East one of the most senior club of senior Rotarians. They were invite to describe the role of Rotaractors in Rotary, Importance of Rotaractors in Rotary , how to established Rotaract club , There activities , role of

parent Rotary club for Rotaractors . Club activities, brief club introduction, past events, future upcoming activities were also informed by Dr Anum. She was highly appreciated by al senior members of Rotary club East. Dr Anum also offer her club support for the starting of new Rotaract club of East. Importance of Rotaractors and their contribution towards Rotary was also discussed in meeting by Rtn Zuibair Hameed (Trainer of Rotaract Kolachi). Sect Arsalan,VP Dr Sameen and Club Director Dr Dania were also present in the meeting. In the end certificate of acknowledgement, special Rotart club of East flag was presented by President Rotary East Mr Naseeb Khan to Dr Anum Akram (President Rotaract Kolachi) with lots of appreciations and love.

Rotaract club of Karachi kolachi organized 'New year celebration with senior

citizens at Gills Shelter old age home' on 2nd January 2016 Theme of the event was

'Importance of Relationship ' a healthy session was taken by,Naima Aslam Khan

(psychologist lecturer at Zsabist university) in which importance of parent child

relationship was discussed, new year was celebrated by cake cutting ceremony ,

valuable quality of time spent with senior ones as they are the most important of of

our society. Lunch boxes were distributed among senior citizens of Gills Shelter,

event was attended by Rotaract Kolachi and their volunteers.

Celeberation of Christmas with Christians The Christmas Program Of ROTARACT CLUB KARACHI SEAVIEW RID.3271 Was held on 20th December 2015 at Malir Urdu Nagar Lelly Town ASSEMBLY OF GOD CHURCH (AOG). Hon. Chairman Rtn.MAZHAR IMAM is with Us for our Guidance and he guide us very Much.In this project we distribute t.shirts ,badge ,bands ,cap ,fliers ,pencils and comic books to the children of SUNDAY SCHOOL and ASSEMBLY OF GOD CHURCH as a gift of Christmas to them. Our PRESIDENT Rtr.ZUNAIRA IMAM gave a brief description of Rotaract to them and invite them to JOIN ROTARACT . In Last Our Rotaract Chairman Rtn.MAZHAR IMAM Participate in Cake cutting ceremony with them.

DRR Visit: DRR visit held on 13th December 2015 at Paradise Banquet Orangi Town. Hon. Assistant District Governor Rtn.Shafique Qasmi, and General Secretary of Rotary club

Karachi Sea view Rtn. Aalim Hashem the chief guest of the function arrived on time and the program begin with the silent invocation. Since the President Rtn.hassan abbas jafrey could not attend the function , The District Rotaract Representative DRR Rtr.Arsalan Liaquat ,District Secretary Rtr.Hamadullah sohu and District Joint Secretary Rtr.Muzamil jawed welcomed by the gathering. After this The President Rtr.Zunaira Imam and Secretary Rtr.Tasneem Alam were collered. The DRR Rtr.Arsalan Liaquat then, addressed the gathering. In his Speech He spoke a lot about Rotaract and its services for the public at large.

Drawing Craze

Purpose: A good art program will, of course, allow students who appear to

have ‘talent’ or ‘ability’ or ‘special interest’ in art to be challenged to achieve

highly in the things they do. It must equally allow students who appear to be

‘less talented’ or ‘less able’ and even ‘less interested’ to also achieve to the

best of their own individual ability.

Team Work: Managed a drawing competition program at famous English

language institute in Mirpurkhas where all the students drawn Rotaract logo

and enjoyed a lot

Team Developed individual strengths there, and Established good relationships

with others also pursued worthwhile and meaningful goals

Result: in last team distributed gifts to the students for drawing also gave gifts to

the staff and paid thanks for aloowing us for arranging activity at their place;

they also appreciated us and said us to continue these type of awareness and

interesting activities in future.

RAC-Larkana

Cultural Day Celebrations

Rotaract Club of Larkana celebrated Cultural Day at Moen Jo Daro with all

members with enthusiasm to showcase the importance of cultural heritage.

A Seminar organized by Rotaract Club of Larkana with IYAAT at ZABTech Larkana

This seminar was widely attended by students, Rotaractors and citizens of

Larkana.

Fellowship with Ex Metrolites

An evening was organized by the Rotaract Club of Karachi

Metropolitan’s Club Services team where the new members

got a chance to interact with the ex-members and senior

members of the club.

Around 25 people were present at the event that took place

at the National Sailing Club, Karachi. It was an amazing

evening where discussions were held on past projects and

achievements by the club. Also, strategies to tackle with

different issues related to the club matters were discussed.

RAC-KARACHI METROPOLITAN

Bulletin Exchange

Awareness on Aids has always been a hot topic in the

Rotary World. The Rotaract Club of Galatasaray, Turkey (D.

2420) initiated a request to the International Services of our

club to enlighten them about the awareness of this disease

w.r.t Pakistan.

Rtr. Noreen Ahmed, did the research work while the editing

was done by Rtr. Usman Aref along with the compilation.

The Rotaract Club of Galatasaray also emphasized us to use

the Rotaract Wiki project and create our own wiki for better

presentation in front of the Rotaract Clubs around the

world.

Peace Message Exchange

A peace message was exchanged with the

Rotaract Club of Deonar, India (D 3040). The

purpose of the message was to express friendly ties

among the Rotaractors of both the nations.

Each club drew the flag of each other’s countries

with a small peace message was exchanged via

emails. The Rotaract Club of Karachi Metropolitan

also wishes to be a part of the peace video

message that is an initiative by the Rotaract Club of

Deonar and will be released in December 2015
