attention. The position of the masthead is in the top left third, which makes the magazine title seen when its on a shelf with other magazines as its in the corner which can attract the

attention of the readers due to the font of the masthead.

Main Image

The main image is a medium shot as his waist is shown in the

image although he is bending down. The image is of the artist Dizzee Rascal which anchors to

the main coverline. The main image is the largest thing on the page and takes up the centre of the cover which is where the eye

is drawn to. The image is eye catching to the audience as the

artist is famous but also his expression showing happiness.

Main Coverlines

The main coverlines anchor the main image, as the main

coverline is about the artist who is in the main image allowing

people to recognise the artists on the cover. The font used is

big, bold and san serif making it stand out on the cover. Also the main coverline has a quote ‘I’m spreading joy around the world, man!’ which links to the image of the artist as he looks happy and joyful in the image but also the quote makes the story sound

interesting. This is almost like a grab quote found in an article.

TitleThe title on the contents page is a repetition of the masthead. This keeps the

theme of the magazine consistent throughout the

magazine.

Page Details The font used for the writing

of the page details is san serif but also in red and the page number is black. This

keeps the theme of the magazine consistent as the

colours link in with the masthead on the front cover.

Sub HeadingsThe sub headings for the

magazine are individualised. They are placed in to a black

box with a white san serif font of writing. This

separates the articles in to different catergories making it easier for the reader to find what they want to read in the

magazine.

AdvertisementsThe advertisements are

separated and placed in the in the right corner. The advertisements

are of subscriptions of magazines.

DateThe date of the magazine is under the banner of the title at the top of the page. It is

placed on the bottom right of the banner.

Page DetailsUnder the subheadings there is a brief heading which complements the subheading but with that there is a brief description. The font is san serif and black but the page number is red keeping the theme

consistent throughout the magazine. Article

The main article on the page is of an editors introduction to the contents page. The editors

introduction is opened by a drop cap which is the same font which is

used in the title of the magazine which draws attention towards the

article. Also it stands out to the reader as the background is black

and the font is white making it stand out.

Main Image The main image has been edited to look like a real

photograph. This links to the article below from the editor about touring due to the red

bus in the image. The person that has been used in the picture is a non celeb

allowing the audience to relate to the mag.

Mise en SceneThe image is of the artist

doing graffiti on a wall behind him.

StandfirstThe subheading of the magazine is used to open the main article

on the page. This introduces the article and who the article is about as the artists name is in bold.

Byline The byline is used to credit the author of the article but

also the photographer.

CopyThe copy is opened by a drop cap. The drop cap is the dame big and bold

font that is used throughout the cover. Ensuring a drop cap has been used ensures that is where the reader looks when they look at the text as

its big and eye catching towards the reader. The font is san serif, black and bold. This font of the drop cap matches the font of the title on the

article. The text is then separated in to four individual columns.

Main ImageThe main image is of the artist who was on the cover and who the main artist is about creating

anchorage throughout the magazine. The image is a mid shot of the artist graffitiing on a wall. The graffiti on the wall behind is stereotypical to the

artists music as its RnB. The image takes up half the side of the double page spread.

ImagesThe other images that are places throughout the articles have been

merged within the columns of text which

is known as a text warp.
