Analysis of: NME FRONT COVER

Page 2: Dizzee rascal analysis presentation

Target audience Although NME have attracted the same audience for a long time (15-24 year

old males) ranging in a C1/C2 social class, this issue using rap artist Dizzee Rascal would generally attract fans of Dizzee Rascal who would fall into the

category of young black males aged 15-24 also. Social class audience would stay the same.

Contents: Because the contents style differs from the front cover, the target audience may appear different. Because there is a female appearing in the

image, women readers may relate themselves more to it. And due to the same use of colours and font used, the main target audience (male 15-25) will be

attracted by it.

Double page spread: The double page spread helps appeals a lot more to fans of Dizzee Rascal due to the glimpse of his life story, and with half of the double page being taken up with a picture of him it attracts the reader even more if they’re flicking through the magazine before purchase, which then entices

them to buy it. What also attracts pre-buyers is the bold and interesting style of text used to name the article “From tags to riches” the font size also differs

which stands out immediately.
