DIY Paper Bag Book, with Japanese Binding
Creative Experiments for KidsTinkerLab
1. Fold paper bag and paper in half (hamburger-style).
2. Twist the pipe cleaner shut, creating a needle and run yarn yarn through needleʼs eye.
MATERIALS
Lunch-style paper bags
Sheets of Paper, slightly smaller than the paper bag
Hole Punch
Yarn or String
Pipe Cleaners- cut in half, the top folded over 1.5”
Decorative Materials
3. Punch 3 holes, about 1/2” from the spine of your papers. If the paper is too thick to punch them all together, punch one paper at a time, and use a marker to draw the holes onto the other papers and bag.

4. Wrap the yarn through the holes, as described in the attached document
5. Decorate, embellish, and add notes or a story.
