It is a premier research Institution engaged in research, documentation, preservation & dissemi- nation of knowledge in the fields of arts, culture, lifestyle studies, folklore etc. Under the Nari Samvad Prakalp (NSP), IGNCA attempts to explore the contribution of women in the fields of arts & culture. NSP seeks to revisit, review & reinterpret Indian intellectual and traditional knowledge sources from the point of view of women, which have either been airbrushed and marginalized or completely misunder-stood in the due course of time. Divya Prakriti Parva is being organized on the occasion of International Women’s Day. The first day of Parva will be dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi and Kasturba. A special panel discussion titled ‘Gandhi Prakriti aur Nari’, along with a puppet show based on Mahatma, how truth inspired his childhood, his fight against British rule etc. will be showcased. Choreography based on the lives of Ba and Bapu, ‘Peed Parayi Jane Re’ will be yet another highlight of the day. As the Parva is dedicated to the Divya Prakriti, the divine nature, the association of feminine in preservation & conservation of ecology & environment will be the focus of other two days. Symposia titled ‘Women and Ecology: Scared Rivers’ & ‘Women & Ecology: Sacred Geography’ along with a unique String Puppet show, an Odissi dance performance on ‘Chitrangada’ and Sattriya dance on ‘Women & preservation of Ecology’ will also be showcased during these two days.
