18 CRAM SPORTS COACHING AND SPORTS OFFICIATING REFRESHER COURSE

School Heads (Elementary and Secondary)

1. Per Regional Memorandum no. 170s. 2014 dated August 18,2014; the CARAGA RegionalAthletic Meet is tentatively set on February 22- 27, 2015 at the Provincial Sports Complex,Tandag City with 18 Sports events, 2 demonstration sports and special games.

2. To ensure the smooth and successful conduct of the 18th CRAM , the Regional School SportsEvents Activity Unit (SSEAU) shall conduct separately a 3-Day Live Out Regional Sports RefresherCourse inSports Coaching on September 12- 14, 2014 at Mangagoy Central ElementarySchool, Bislig City and a 3 -Day Live Out Regional Sports Refresher Course inSports Officiatingon September 25 -27, 2014 at Surigao City National High School, Surigao City.

3. The Sports Refresher Courses aim to (a) update the new rules and game mechanics in all sportsevents; (b) upgrade scientific skills and techniques in coaching and officiating; (c) improve andenhance the coaching and officiating skills and techniques through actual simulations andpracticum; and (d) prepare our coaches and officiating officials for 2015 18l CRAM.

4. The list ofparticipants, resource speakers/training staff and training matrix in coaching andofficiating are found in enclosure 1, 2 and 3 of this memorandum.

5. Resource Speakers in combative sports will come from National Sports Association (NSA) asrequisite to the eligibility requirement of coaches, other sports events will be takencare by theDepEd Regional Technical Sports experts (see attached list).

6. Aregistration fee ofTwo Hundred Fifty Pesos (Php 250.00) shall be collected from eachparticipant to defray expenses ofseminar kit, Transportation, Honoraria and meals &snacks ofResource Speakers and other operational expenses relative to the conduct of the SportsRefresher Courses.

7. Registration fee, travelling expenses, board and lodging, and perdiem of participants andtraining staffshall be charged against the local funds subject to the usual accounting andauditing rules and regulations.

8. The host division will provide the billeting quarters only; participants are advised to bringsleeping gears, training and playing attire, sportsequipment and training gadgets.

9. Widest and immediate dissemination of this memorandum is desired.
