Welcome to the November issue of Diversity Rules Magazine. I have to say this issue is probably one of the best!

This month’s feature interview is with David-Elijah Nahmod. Da-vid-Elijah Nahmod is a film critic and reporter in San Francisco. His articles appear regularly in The Bay Area Reporter and SF Weekly. You can also find him on Facebook and Twitter.

He is currently doing a monthly column in South Florida Gay News titled “If You Could Read My Mind: A PTSD Diary.” David developed Post Traumatic Syn-drome Disorder (PTSD) after sur-viving gay conversion therapy as a child and has found that many in the LGBT community suffer from severe, often untreated emotional disorders due to the extreme anti-gay traumas they endured.

David’s mission is to call for ac-countability among the anti-gay re-ligious organizations that inflict so much harm with such reckless and gleeful abandon. He also wants to urge LGBTs to face the truth about the harm that’s been done to us, and about the misguided rage we inflict on each other with the same reckless abandon.

Diversity Rules Magazine is pleased to be able to support David’s mis-sion. I hope David’s interview prompts some readers to take ac-tion and say enough and start to spread a message of tolerance, love and understanding -- especially within our own gay community.

There are a lot of other great fea-tures in the November issue. I hope you find them interesting and feel free to share Diversity Rules Maga-zine with your friends and family. Happy Thanksgiving!

Who am I? Why are we here? These are questions I’ve been asking throughout the course of my life - and I’ve received some remarkable answers.

But here’s the catch; just when I think I “know” …the Universe is quick to respond with another lesson. So, I’ve learned to have an open mind, an open heart, and to enjoy the process.

Of all of the answers I’ve received, one thing has remained true and unchanging; Love. Not the mushy “I love you so much”, kind of love that most people associate with the word - love. I’m talking about the “Who am I, I am Love”.

Love has always brought me back to my Self and the knowl-edge of the interconnectedness of all of life.

When you discover the true nature of “Who you are”, you become empowered. A sense of greatness fills your entire being. It’s as if you’ve finally found the charging station for your soul! Once you plug into the source of energy that sustains you, you feel renewed and ready to enjoy this expe-rience of the human condition.

However, until you plug yourself in, you’re operating on partial battery, and you aren’t aware of your full potential. Here are the signs your battery is low…

You’re tired, depressed, angry and perhaps, dis-appointed. You keep searching for something that’s missing... You need to recharge. Plug yourself in and get connected to the Source of your pow-er!

When I remember who I am, I know myself as one with everything; God, Universe, Source, Absolute Being, Allah, Divine Being, Holy Spirit, Jah, Jehovah, Lord, Yahweh, etc.. When I affirm my Self as an extension of Love, I expe-rience great joy, abundance and power. Whatever I share, I strengthen.

When I forget who I am, I fall into darkness and mis-create from a place of fear, projecting a sense of separation, lack and judgment, I experience great sadness. Again, what I share, I strengthen.

It’s only when I connect to the oneness of the Universe, I remember this body - this life experience - is an amazing “temporary” gift. I realize, the potential to create is only limited by my awareness and my imagination. Life is a vir-tual wishing well.

How do you connect? In order to give Love as an exten-sion of who you are, first you have to acknowledge that you ARE Love. Sometimes this is difficult to do because you’re just not “feeling the love.” Your body and mind are amazing tools, at your disposal, to help change your mood. It all starts with your E-motion, as Tony Robbins explains “energy-in-motion”; move your body! Stretch, stand up, go for a walk, clap your hands; do anything to change the E-motion surrounding you. This will get the ball rolling. Next, practice gratitude. Write down 5 things you’re grate-ful for, every day… find someone to help keep you account-able, and share your list! Once you get started, you will see amazing changes in your life!

I am so grateful to be alive… Look around you today, at the natural beauty that surrounds you. Let the marvels of the season fill the depths of your spirit with the Love it inspires. Love is your power cord. Plug into the Source and experience the wonders of co-creating... you are so much greater than you give yourself permission to be. What do you choose to create today; Love or fear? The choice is yours….

Keep up Now ~ with the stream of higher con-sciousness and stay connected to the Source.

“I am a human being of will; my failure; fear. Follow me through this life I’ve known that soon will pass. Make peace with that which measures past it hath no power over promise true and soon, too, I deliver you. In time like rhyme it’s constant, still, im-patient. Fate fulfilled through you. Destruction lay waiting its’ wake in time, none too soon this

fruit will take from man’s decent, illusionary, but this too shall God rise up; a king, and bring us all from great despair. One man is born to bring us there and soon he will declare that truth be told no need to fear.” – Rob Ludwig
