• Denim is a cotton or cotton/polyester blend, durable heavy weight twill weave yarn dyed fabric. Usually the warp is colored and weft is white.
• The term “Denim” comes from the city of Nimes in France.• Long wearing & fashionable fabric.• Denim was originally used by workers. They wore denim clothes because
of its durability & safety.• In the 1800’s American gold miners wanted clothes that were strong and
did not tear easily. Levi Strauss started a wholesale business, supplying clothes to people who required it. He made overalls, commonly known as jeans.
• Levi, this is when the brand Levi Strauss was created and is still extremely successful today.

Conclusion
At present, more than 78 per cent of the country’s export earnings come from Textiles & Clothing. Denim Manufacturing can be a key to success for Bangladesh. So in that situation we need to think deep about denim and its different uses. The Govt. should take step now because this is the right time we are crossing. Diversified Denim has huge market & popularity all over the world.
