2011-2012 District VII Officer TeamGabby Gruenwald– Chairperson
Gabby is a junior at Redfield High School. She serves as South Dakota’s State President and Redfield Chapter’s President. Through FCCLA, Gabby has held 2 state offices, 2 district offices, 4 chapter offices, and has served on 1 peer education team. Besides FCCLA, she is involved in oral interpretation, band, jazz band, drum line, chorus, and FBLA, where she serves as the State Parliamentarian. Gabby would like to thank her family, friends, advisors, and teachers for being so supportive throughout her FCCLA officer term.

Hayden Houdek is a sophomore at Highmore High school. He currently serves as his local Vice-President, the District VII co-chairperson, and as a member of the FCCLA Community Peer Education team. Hayden is involved in FCCLA, FFA, FBLA, Football, Basketball, Track, Golf, Band, and Drama Club. In his free time Hayden enjoys hunting and hanging out with his friends. He has organized and participated in numerous FCCLA activities and community service projects including the Halloween Carnival, Red Ribbon Week activities, a town clean-up, and a project teaching others about sports injuries. Through FCCLA Hayden has learned many skills that will help him construct his future.

.Erika Roeber is the District VII Secretary. Very active in her high school, she participates in FCCLA, FFA, volleyball, and softball. Being very outgoing and adventurous, she loves having fun with her friends and traveling to new places.

Brendan Roth is the son of Michael and Terri Roth. He is proud to serve as the 2011-2012 District VII JH Rep. Brendan is involved in many activities including: FCCLA, FFA, SADD, 4-H, Band, Church, Golf, Working on the family farm, and managing the R-D Pheasants Boys Basketball Team. He would like to thank his friends, family members, teachers, and advisor, Cindy Brace, for all they have done for Brendan.

Opening CeremonyPresident: Gives a rap with the gavel signaling the officers and members to stand, then begins the meeting by stating, “We are members of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America. Our mission is to promote personal growth and leadership development through Family and Consumer Sciences Education.”
Officers: “Focusing on the multiple roles of family member, wage earner, and community leader, members develop skills for life through character development, creative and critical thinking, interpersonal communication, practical knowledge, and career preparation.”

Junior High Representative

Brittany Fyler is currently a 7th Grader at Highmore Junior High School. Brittany
has participated locally in FCCLA by helping to organize the Halloween
Carnival, Trick or Treat for a Cause, and a National Guard Tailgater which raised
funds for a local cancer organization. Aside from FCCLA, Brittany is also
involved in volleyball, basketball, track, and BB gun. Brittany looks forward to
meeting new friends and gaining experiences that will give her the tools
for success in FCCLA.

Elizabeth HansenRedfield
Elizabeth Hansen is an 8th grader at Redfield Junior High. Lizzie serves as
Redfield’s junior chapter President. She has been involved in chapter projects.
Besides, FCCLA, she is in band, student council, volleyball, softball, and
the community play. Lizzie would like to thank her friends, family, and advisor for supporting her through her years in
FCCLA
Junior High RepresentativeCarson is an eighth grader at Faulkton
High School where he is an active FCCLA member. Aside from participating in
FCCLA , Carson is active in Junior High football, basketball, and track and field. When Carson has free time, he likes to spend time with his family and friends. Carson loves to watch sports. Carson participates in FCCLA by being on the
Faulkton Chapter’s Executive Council, holding the office of Vice President of
National Programs.

District ChairpersonKyle is a junior from Faulkton High School. Other than being active in
FCCLA he enjoys being active in Oral Interpretation, One Act Play, All School Play, Annual Staff, and Track and Field. Kyle spends his free time
hanging out with family and friends and watching sports. Kyle also
enjoys hunting and fishing with his family during various times of the
year. Traveling is one of Kyle’s favorite things to do. Kyle is also a
member of the Alliance for a Healthier Generation’s Youth
Advisory Board.
District ChairpersonCully Williams is a Junior at Redfield High School.
Other than FCCLA, he participates in oral
interpretation, 4-H, and FFA. Cully’s hobbies
include raising pigs and helping out in school
plays.
