This year, presentations were held at each of the four secondary schools.
Criteria
• Candidates must demonstrate:– Superior achievement in one of the
following areas of learning:• Fine Arts (Visual Arts, Dance, Drama, Music)• Applied Skills (Business Ed., Technology Ed.,
Home Economics)• Physical Activity (Not limited to Physical
Education)• Second Languages (including Aboriginal
Languages)
Based on Grade 12 enrolment, School District 79 received 37 scholarships from the Ministry. 35 of the scholarships were distributed based on the Grade 12 enrolment of each school. Two were held as wildcards to be distributed to the best of the runners-up from any school by trustees and district staff.
A record 71 applications were received at the school board this year. Number of awards available 37
