An American safe haven for life will not be denied by Big Business, corporate entities and the rich. Your support guarantees that the Hispanic voice is heard. We will strengthen the Hispanic community’s belief that they are included in the political structure.

Born in Spain, I have lived and worked in the majority of Latin American countries. I value diverse cultures and advocate for them. Bernie Sanders is the only candidate voicing and addressing Latino concerns. I advocate on both sides of the language barrier. My name is Eva Fellner and I am running be a Pledged Delegate for Bernie Sanders at the National Convention. I have been a proud, bleeding heart liberal, Democrat my whole life. I have listened to Bernie for nearly a decade on the “”Brunch with Bernie segment on the Thom Hartmann program. When I found out he was running for President, I started donating to his campaign right away. I have continued to do so. I canvassed, phone banked, and was active in the Bernie’s Speaker’s Bureau.

I pledge, I will only vote for Bernie Sanders at the National Convention.


Attending the National Convention is the first part of my mission. I want to network to help build a progressive agenda within the Democratic Party after the convention. Greetings! I am Sara Webster, library worker, farmer’s market supporter, concerned citizen, and first time tomato grower. Now I would like to add Delegate for Bernie Sanders to this list.

Some time ago I felt a call to civil service that led me to the libraries. Everyday I assist citizens in enriching their lives and helping them navigate an increasingly data flooded world. This experience has sharpened the call of service and now I wish to do more.

I feel the key to a moral and effective government is a commitment to representation. A delegate’s responsibility is not to amplify their own voice, but to carry the voice of the people to the national stage. The voters of the State of Oregon have decided that Bernie Sanders is to be the next president, and I will faithfully represent that decision in Oregon and in Pennsylvania at the national convention.


Upon returning from Pennsylvania I will remind citizens of which party has always worked in the interest of the people. I will connect with young voters to educate them about the representatives and policies that have made our home the haven that it is. The Democrats of Oregon are responsible for an ever increasing quality of life in our state, leading the way with individual rights and protections, and I will encourage and empower people to vote to continue that legacy.

I’ve been a democrat since the age of eighteen, when I registered to vote for William Jefferson Clinton in 1996. I worked for a large government contractor for ten years, before I was laid off during the recession in 2010. As a single mother since 1996, who suddenly found herself out of work, I quickly became acquainted with the perils of the dwindling safety net. After getting back on my feet, I’m now a successful business owner and New York Times bestselling author. I’ve been volunteering for democrats during this primary season in Iowa and Oregon. I hope I can contribute the same tenacity that helped me succeed as an author and business owner to helping Oregon democrats get elected in 2016.


This contentious primary season, we’ve seen a splitting of the electorate among those who crave more progress and those who want to take things slowly. The most important issue democrats will have to address is party unity. In a state like Oregon, we need to ensure our democratic candidates adopt a progressive platform, and that this platform is being communicated to voters. I’ll do everything I can (canvassing, organizing, etc.) to make sure Oregon voters know who’s on their side.

My name is Michael Jeffery. I work for an IT Company in Tigard and have lived in Hillsboro for over 30 years and in Oregon for over 40 years. I have been interested in politics and the political process since being elected as my 11th grade high school class president. I believe in diversity probably due in part to my having lived in Quito, Ecuador for 3 years and bring foreign exchange students into my home on many occasions and leading teams of young people and adults into the more poverty stricken parts of Baja Mexico to help build homes.

My political priorities fall in line with most Democrats. They include lower prescription drug costs, combating climate change, creating living wage jobs by increasing the minimum wage, more affordable or free higher education, healthcare for all, pro-choice, simplifying the health care system with a single payer system, income equality, fair and human immigration policies, helping secure LGBT equality, strengthening and expanding social security, etc.


I will utilize social media and personal conversations to promote Democrats up and down the ticket in November. When elected as delegate I will not let you down. I will do it with respect and integrity.

I feel “The Bern”! It is not hard to do when you see the success of the Bernie Sander’s campaign, especially in Oregon. That is why I want to be your delegate to the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia. Let the debate begin.

I am presently an elected Precinct Committee Person, Delegate-Alternate to State Central Committee, elected Delegate to Multnomah County and State Platform Committee’s, and Delegate-Alternate Congressional District Committee.

I was born in Portland, Oregon and my family has been here for more than one hundred years. I attended Portland Public Schools and am a U.S. Submarine Veteran. I went to nautical school on the G.I. Bill and graduated a licensed Deck Office in the U.S. Merchant Marine. After 30 years, I retired. I am now a Systems Integrator/VAR.

I have been a member of the Democratic Party for over a half a century. Being elected as delegate to the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia would be an honor and a privilege. I ask for your vote.


As a Precinct Committee Person I will work to elect Democrats to office in the Fall General Election. All Democrats will need to come together to unite our Party. Now more that ever, we need to craft a platform that is inclusive and representative of all of us. We need to set aside our differences to insure that we elect candidates that support a government of the people, by the people, for the people.

My name is Nick Webster. I would like to represent you as your delegate to work for the election of Bernie Sanders as President of the United States.

I was born in Roseburg, and after growing up in Idaho, I moved back to Oregon and have lived here for most of the last 13 years. Like many of you, I was excited when Barack Obama was elected in 2008, but have felt betrayed by the administration’s abandonment of progressive ideals in many respects.

As your delegate, I will do three things:

I will work to nominate Bernie Sanders for President.

I will vote for progressive measures in the party platform.

Finally, I will cast my vote for a progressive vice presidential candidate. If Sen. Sanders is the nominee, I have no doubt that he will nominate a progressive running mate. If he is not, and our presidential nominee does not do so, I will not cast my vote for her choice, instead voting for someone more like Bernie Sanders, or for Sen. Sanders himself.

As they say, all politics is local. In Oregon, we are fortunate to have a strong slate of Democratic candidates to support.

The most important thing I can do when I return to Oregon is to encourage everyone I can to vote. The numbers are clear: if more people vote, Democrats win. Oregon Democrats have made tremendous strides in the last few years with sick leave, our community college program, and the pending minimum-wage increase. We can’t let up now!
