A lot of support and hard work from many rotarians and the core team has gone into this.I would request all of you now to come forward and contribute for the establishment of this Skill Center.

FROM THE DISTRICT GOVERNOR DESKDear friends, it is heartening to see how our Rotary Clubs are doing projects that give quality to lives and bring about transformational changes. RCD Restoring Smiles in collaboration with RC Narnaul and Rotaplast America have done an outstanding Cleft Lip & Palate Repair project. 46 patients, mostly children, were operated. RCD Restoring Smiles and its active members such as Gaurav Ahuja, put in lot of effort along with RC Narnaul to make it a grand success. Operations were done for a week in Vijay Hospital by Dr. Devi Tantri surgeon and anesthetist Dr MS Rawat. Relatives of patients were also provided free accommodation and food. Truly, it was an inspirational project.

Rotary Club Gurgaon organized District Cricket Tournament on 9th December at Teri Oval Ground on Gurgaon-Faridabad Road. Heartening to see that Rotarians of our District not only do exemplary projects but also love to play hard!

RCD Central & Rotary Delhi Charitable Trust organized 'Prayas', a mesmerizing performance by a group of Divyang children, 'Miracle on Wheels' for Rotary Divyang Kendra at Zorawar Auditorium. It was a fund-raising program for Rotary Divyang Kendra. Club achieved their target of raising Rupees 1 crore for developing new generation of artificial limbs. Club also got 'Gift of Life Outreach' Mobile Medical Unit that was inaugurated by RIPN Sushil Gupta Ji. It was a highly commendable achievement by RC Central under the leadership of PDG Dr. Subramanian.

RYLA 2018 was organized by our District on 21-23 December at OP Jindal University campus in Sonipat. This event showcases some outstanding projects for environment and community by our Rotaractors. Large number of projects carried out by our young Rotary leaders have benefited our society immensely.

Fiends, District Conference 2018-19 'CONFLUENCE' has been announced. It will be on 1-2 February 2019 at Hotel Taj Palace, Diplomatic Enclave, ND. Mark your calendar. I am looking forward to this being one of the best District Conference ever held.

BOARD MEETING - 11TH DECEMBERUrgent Board Meeting held on 11th december 2018 - We had been trying since 6 months to get rent - free space to our Skill Development Cnter, With the help of Rtn Rahul Mehra, we were able to get this space as Pusa Institute. An urgent Board meeting was called to seek permission from the board to sign the MOU, which the board granted.

CHRISTMAS LUNCH - 23RD DECEMBER 2018Keeping in line with the festive season Southend celebrated Christmas in style at PP Rtn Munish Gupta’s beautiful house. The champagne lunch with live music and amazing continental food was a huge success with more than 80 rotarians in attendance.The bright sunny afternoon and lovely decoration added to the festivity.A special thanks to PP Rtn Munish & Seema Gupta and all the hosts who put in a lot of effort to give us a wonderful afternoon.

COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT - 29TH DECEMERCommunity Service Project held on 29th December 2018 at Shikha Pathshala - A brand new Sewing Machine Operator center was established at Shikha Pathshala Inderpuri with assistance from "SINGER". We set up 10 latest machines in this center which will run certificate course o 6 months duration for trainees.

Signing of MOU with DTTE - Team 2018-19 signed the MOU with DTTE. (under Delhi Govt) for establishing a Skill Development Center at Pusa Institute, where DTTE is giving us 8000sqft of rent free space, free electricity and water. We will soon be establishing this center for Industrial Skill Training.
