Dear friends, on the day of Dussehra, massive tragedy struck in Amritsar. In a tragic train accident62 people died and more than 70 were injured. Rotarians oF our District sprang to action and collected plenty of relief material and distributed to the victims' families and injured survivors in Amritsar. Such helpful gestures improve Rotary's public image and vindicate Rotary's spirit of service. On 26" October Rotary Public Image Seminar was held at CSOI Auditorium. Rotary Public Image Coordinator (RPIC) PDG Rtn Ashish Desai was Chief Guest. He and IPDG Ravi Chaudhary spoke on the need for improving Rotary image and how to go about it. More programs at District and Club levels need to be organized to improve Rotary's humanitarian image in public. Cancer Awareness Seminar on 3' November in Rohtak was a grand event. It was organized by Rotary Cancer Foundation and hosted by RC of Rohrak Scholars Inner Wheel Clubs, represented by Chairman IIW 301 Mrs. Preeti Gugnani, also joined the by Chairman IIW 301 Mrs. Preeti Gugnani, also joined the Rotarians in Rotary's fight against this dreaded disease. Doctors from AIIMS gave informative talks and AV presentations. We all celebrated the festival of Deepawali on 7". May there be light and prosperity all around. Let every Rotarian light a lamp of hope and happiness in the homes of the weakest sections of our community. Thalassemic children had a reason to smile on 11' November. Rotary Clubs of Delhi Millennium and Delhi South West got together and handed over a 'Blood Transfusion Van for Thalassemia' to Rotary Blood Bank. It is a very useful Global Grant Project worth nearly 1.10 Cr. Another major project starting on 28' November, is being undertaken by RC Narnaul and RCD Restoring Smiles to do Cleft Lip and Palate surgeries free for 120 children. Well done, Rotarians. The wedding season is here and we look forward to the wedding of Abhimanyu – son of Rohit and Meera Aggarwal and Ashwin - son of Ashish and Anjali Thakur both in December.

Last month on Diwali, Rtn Shiv and Sudha had gifted Jackets to all the staff members of Sparsh. Really appreciated !!

I request each one of you to please take time out and visit Sparsh and see for yourself what a great thing your Southend is doing for the under privileged .

COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT 17TH NOVEMBERThe Community service project for the month was held at Little flowers Ideal English school in Gurgaon. The Club got the school painted at the cost of Rs 80000 where 450 children from the underprivileged section get free education from Nursery to Std 10th. Food packets for the kids were also distributed . It was a real pleasure to see the children perform and sing nurturing their talent and being happy inspite of the hard life they live. Special thanks to chairperson Rtn. Naveen Talwar for arranging this project and the wonderful work he is doing for the school.

HOSTED DINNER BY RTN SIDHARTH SAWHNEYThe hosted event for the month was hosted exclusively by Rtn Sidharth Sawhney and R'ann Parul Sawhney on 23rd Nov 2018 at their beautiful home on MG Road. The amazing ambience and their warm hospitality coupled with the excellent food was a delightful experience for all rotarians. The event was well attended by 65 members. We are highly thankful to Rtn. Sidharth and Parul for the lovely evening.
