Achieving the European Union’s 2020 energy efficiency targets and at the same time reducing its dependency on energy imports is a huge task that requires innovative approaches and tools – such as the ones Trust EPC South wants to provide.

The Trust EPC South project aims to unleash the tertiary sector market potential for private energy efficiency investments in Southern Europe by developing a new financial assessment instrument backed by an established building rating methodology (Green Rating™). Such instrument

shall support energy service companies (EPC providers and faciliators), financing institutions and tertiary market actors thanks to the application of a standardised methodology to the investment assessment and decision processes, ultimately allowing to redeuce barriers to energy efficiency investments.

Trust EPC South, a project financed by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 programme, will pursue its ambitious objectives in Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Croatia and Greece. The project consortium, led by the Spanish firm CREARA, is composed by interdisciplinary experts representing the participating countries and by the international non-profit organisation Green Rating Alliance. The partners are united by the common intent to stimulate investments in the target markets, which are offering great opportunities for energy efficiency as well as energy performance contracting.

This deliverable presents and briefly describes the first release of the main dissemination and

communication tools related to Trust EPC South:

- Project ID Card

- Project Brief/Leaflet

- Project Brochure

- Project Advertising Banners

- Project Newsletter template

- Project Social Media accounts

These tools have been developed in order to be used by all members of the consortium to raise awareness on the project activities and results, by distributing them at workshops, seminars, public events or sending them digitally to partners and contacts.

The ID Card of the project is a simple tool to present the project in European project related activities.

The project brief / leaflet is an easy to read communication tool of two pages describing the project concept, expected results and participant in an attractive way.

This tool can be distributed in sectorial events and workshops or sent by email to interested stakeholders. The project brief has been developed in all participating countries’ languages (7 languages in total) and published on the project website.

A first release of the Trust EPC South brochure has been published on the project Website for digital dissemination. It will be later printed to be distributed during national discussion platform meetings and workshops. It is a tool that will be modified and released in a second version following the project development.

A set of standard format (IAM format) digital advertising banners has been created in order to promote and disseminate the project through different external websites, such as partners’ online platforms, organizations and institutions websites, etc.

Advertising banners are an important tool to disseminate project results in sectorial websites where main stakeholders have common access.

Bi-monthly newsletters will be published and distributed electronically during the project’s lifetime starting from month 7. These regular newsletters will help to inform the target stakeholders and even related media channels about the project developments and other news related to the energy efficiency sector.

For a project, social media accounts are important since they create synergies with different sectorial business actors at international level. Moreover, Twitter and LinkedIn are useful to present events, activities, developments and images in a user-friendly way, linking to more specific and detailed content.
