Please note, the data presented are not surveillance results and should be interpreted with caution.

An exhaustive nutrition screening using monitoring of symptoms of acute malnutrition mid upper arm circumference (MUAC) and Oedema was conducted by Nutrition Sector partners for 121 children of 6-59 months. Of the 121 children screened, the MUAC reading was 2 children (1 from inaccessible and the other from accessible area) in the Red category, 10 were in the Yellow category and 109 were measured in the Green category. No cases of Oedema were reported in the 5 LGAs reports were received from.

The results also include 67 children from neighbouring Cameroon, Chad and Republic of Niger (22 moved to Bama, 8 to Mobbar while 37 moved to Ngala); out of the 67 children measured, 1 was in the red category, 59 were in the green category and 7 children were in the yellow category. All children found with acute malnutrition have been admitted for treatment.
