Challenge:Wordle is web based tool for generating word clouds from any text that you provide. The more often a word is used, the bigger the word becomes in a word cloud. You can also change the font, layout, colors and more in wordle so that when you are nished, you have a neat little poster or image that you can use in other projects or display. Your challenge for this day is to create a wordle of some sort. Tagul is another word cloud generator that you can also link to other things from your words.

Challenge:Blabberize is a clever way to tell a story through the use of photos. If you select a photo, you can dene where the mouth will be on the photo. You narrate your text and the mouth you drew moves with your voice. Picture for example a talking horse or a rabbit telling a story. Or, what if you students researched an historical event and then told the story through the mouth of Abraham Lincoln or John F. Kennedy? Your challenge, create a blabberize that will be both informative and entertaining.

Uses in the Classroom Narrate a story as an animal Give a speech as a famous historian Debate a topic as a politician Narrate a poem or book Have famous talk about events in their lives. Challenge:My hunch is that everyone has created more than one or two PowerPoint, Keynotes or other types of presentations in their teaching career. Why not share those with the world so that others may learn. Imagine the new teacher, or experienced teacher that is learning something new. With slideshare, you can search topics that are of interest to you and learn more about them. For example, prior to creating this web 2.0 presentation, I went to slideshare to learn more. Your challenge on this day is to look at some of the many slideshows already uploaded, or upload one of your own presentations.

Challenge:Wikis are simple web pages that anyone can edit (students, teachers, family and friends). It is a great way to have students collaborate on projects. Check out the wiki spaces for educators where you can set up student accounts, set privacy levels, customize the look of your wiki and embed media. Your challenge for today, create a wiki account and begin your classroom wiki.

Uses in the Classroom Have a classroom wiki where you can collaborate on a variety of project. I made a wiki for my students when our student council group was building a school in Africa. We invited all the other community service groups to join and updated information and keep everyone everyone informed.

Challenge:This site is great if you want to coordinate your volunteer efforts either in or out of the classroom. I am currently using this site to coordinate all of our summer student council volunteer efforts. With a council of over 50 students, this site is great to keep us organized. You can set up the site to be private or public, send an e-mail link for sign up, get e-mail notication reminders and more.

Uses in the Classroom Organize parent volunteers Organize blood drive sign ups Have students sign up to help with things in the classroom Organize a car wash, fundraiser, or any even you need volunteers organized and timely reminders and reports generated. This site has it all for you!
