The Solution

To create a Traverse System (TS)to automatically accurately position the measurement sensors (strain gauges, pressure transducers, accelerometers, microphones, etc.) inside the conduit at upstream and downstream sections of the test turbine.

The Challenge

To design and implement an automatic system to characterize Clod Flow Turbine dynamic behavior (blade vibration, rotor dynamics, aerodynamic instabilities) during Low-Temperature Aerodynamic Flows Tests. The management of the system by the operators shall be done without any programming and via user-friendly HMIs.
