CONCEPT + PARTNERSHIP PROPOSAL

The Real-World Impact of Engaging Volunteers Online

About the competition Discover e-volunteering is the first and only grant competition in Europe showcasing some of the most innovative initiatives, that:

• are blending technology with helping people, the environment, and other causes.

• actively involve Internet users.

Successes

During three editions of the competition there were over 250 applications from 35 countries submitted. Apps for citizens, virtual universities, civic journalism platforms and crowdsourcing – just to highligt few of them.

The vast majority of the applications submitted distinguish themself by creative usage of the ICTs in order to make a difference, as well as by the wide scale and wide range of the Internet users engagement – some of those projects projects involve hundreds and thousands of people, who can create impressive projects, even if they only cooperate online.

The Internet users involved in such projects usually support them in a voluntary and non-paid – this is why we call them e-volunteering.

Partners Last edition of the competition was supported by 17 European Partners.
