This is the new brand promise that our national organization, Girl Scouts of the USA, launched in July along with a new Girl Scout brand campaign. With this new campaign, Girl Scouts will reach new generations of girls with a r eenergized and revitalized new image. Even the Girl Scout logo has a new, refreshed look! While the new brand stays true to the cornerstones of leadership, sisterhood, and inclusion, it also resonates with girls. Centering around the new tagline, “What did you do today?” our new brand image is a reminder of the power girls have to change the world! Girl Scouts provides experiences that will challenge girls, take them to incredible places, and bring them to new heights of personal achievement. One out of five girls in northern New Jersey participates in Girl Scouting and we want to help that number grow. To help launch our new brand, we want to hear from you. “What did you do today?” Encourage your troops, groups, and girls to share their Girl Scout stories by logging onto www.gsnnj.org. We all know that girls do great things in Girl Scouting - so share your story and help spread the word. Leaders, parents, and volunteers can also share their Girl Scout story – as girls and as adults. Tell us why Girl Scouting is so important to you and your families. There are many great benefits of Girl Scouting for girls and adults and we want to let all 150,000 girls in northern New Jersey know what Girl Scouting has to offer them, their families, and adult volunteers. So let us know, what did you do today? Yours in Girl Scouting, Helen Wronski President and CEO FEATURE REPORT: Once a Girl Scout, Always a Girl Scout It's been 39 years since members of Teaneck Girl Scout Troop 96 sat around the campfire singing Girl Scout songs, but when Deborah Trupin began to sing, all the words came flooding back. "Camping, we have lots of fun all day, but at night we don't sleep anyway," said the former Girl Scout.
