The new Advanced Rendering Engine allows you to composite C4D files within After Effects CC, including OBJ, FBX, and Alembic file formats. You can smooth handheld footage, lock a shot—or part of your frame—automatically, and more with the new Warp Stabilizer VFX. Select stabilization points, edit and delete them throughout time, and preserve scale to fix tricky shots such as aerial fly-throughs. Warp Stabilizer VFX also allows you to reverse-stabilize: select objects within a scene to stabilize while leaving others unstable, or stabilize an entire scene to do detailed work such as painting or warping, and then artfully restore jitter to get exactly the shot you want.

Track Optimization in the 3D Camera TrackerRecommended by some of Hollywood’s finest visual effects artists, the enhanced Camera Tracker in After Effects CC introduces Track Optimization, which allows you to refine tracking points over time for even more accurate 3D tracking in 2D space.

Search and other interface enhancementsNever again hunt for missing fonts, effects, or footage used in your comps. With the new search feature in After Effects CC, missing fonts, effects, and other media are easily identified and located within your compositions, so you can relink or replace them quickly. New layer- and mask-snapping behaviors make aligning both 2D and 3D objects faster and more interactive. Plus, you can now see complete file paths, regardless of language or character length.

Bicubic resamplingPreserve fine detail and achieve greater accuracy when resizing compositions by choosing between bilinear or new bicubic scaling.

Coming soon: Integration with Adobe Anywhere for video Collaborate on composites and animations with After Effects CC team members working across town or around the world, thanks to integration with Adobe Anywhere for video, which is coming soon. Anywhere users who do not have their own media asset management system (MAM) can open and edit composites from the Anywhere server. Composited footage is rendered locally and can be saved back onto the Anywhere server. Composites are easily monitored to see the latest iterations and resolve version conflicts. Note: Adobe Anywhere for video requires a separate purchase and implementation.
