Sequence of Action for specific Disaster

• Severity of situation and discussing with the On -Site person

• Immediate help from nearby area.

• Discussion with LCG and DCG for additional help from nearby Districts.

• Site control operation considering probable consequences

− Access difficulty to take resources nearby the site.

− Mixed containers of various residual material s( in bulk quantities)

− Difficult to visualize the nature of Residues from different

organisations.

− Fear of decomposition of material and probable release of toxic gases

into atmosphere.

− Difficulty in monitoring the concentration of gases dispersed.

− Managing and providing various resources mainly water and foam

solution.

− Rotation of person at front stage.

− major aim to isolate the affected area from nearby stored material.

− Time taken to isolate the affected area was about 6-7 hours.

Sequence of Action for specific Disaster

− Shortage of foam solution made available from ONGC.

− Situation kept under control for 5-6 hours time.

− Plan to attack from various position at a time using large

quantity of foam solution with appx. 14 – 15 Fire tenders.

− Succeeded in putting off the fire in 30 minutes with help of

efficient Team work.

− Meanwhile, all other committees join into services

assigned ;

i. Pollution Control Board for monitoring the

concentration of various toxic gases.

ii. Evacuation planned to move nearby villagers in affected

area and taking them to rehabilitation shelters ( School)

and provision for their needs like; Food, water and

Health Check –up

iii. Returning to normalcy.
