Volunteers will work in small inter-professional teams under the direction of

Development Together and local staff. Common conditions seen amongst

the clients at our partner sites include: ASD, ABI, Cerebral Palsy, Congenital

Abnormalities, Down’s Syndrome and Developmental Delay. You will apply

current therapies and practices to enhance client outcomes and conduct

professional education sessions for local staff.

You will have the opportunity to explore Ukrainian culture on a weekend trip

to Kyiv with a guided tour of the city.

You will be accompanied by an experienced Australian Health Professional,

who will provide clinical guidance and logistical support. They will also act

as a liaison between you and our host partners.

Clinical, professional, interpersonal, leadership and communication skills.

Team work, critical thinking, cultural awareness and how to work in an

environment with limited resources.

Make a difference to others, gain confidence, be part of a community, take

on a challenge, experience personal growth and have fun!

Spend time at one of our two partner sites, located 15 minutes by tram from

central Lviv. 1. Dzherelo Rehabilitation Centre, a clinic for children through

to young adults with complex disability and congenital disorders. You will

focus on early intervention and therapies, and provide training to local staff

and carers. 2. Lviv Military Hospital, a local rehabilitation hospital for ex-

service personnel, specialising in ABI, spinal injuries, and other trauma. You

will focus on inpatient rehabilitation and discharge planning.
