New Chapter: Vancouver Island A new chapter has been chartered on Vancouver Island. Currently they have 22 members and are growing. They are about to start monthly luncheon meetings, balancing between Victoria and Nanaimo. They have also having their first Connections Café on November 23rd. With regard to publications, we're about to issue our very first Vancouver Island Specifier and is planned as a bi-monthly publication.

Construction Canada Magazine Construction Canada continues to be the preferred magazine in the Canadian AEC industry. According to the September 2010 Ad Study, conducted by the independent research firm, Signet Research Inc.:

• Circulation per issue is 12,533, according to the December 2010 CCAB audit statement. With a pass-along readership of 2.9, this means Construction Canada reaches an audience of 36,345 architects, engineers, designers, specifiers and project managers.

• 76% of respondents have taken action during the past year as a result of ads of articles in Construction Canada.

• The average value of the projects Construction Canada readers work on is just over $4 million.

• When asked which one trade or professional magazine they find most useful, 85% of respondents said Construction Canada. (The next closest was Canadian Architect at 52%.)

The magazine is always looking for articles. Please put forward anything that may be of interest to the industry. As always the article should be industry related and not product/brand specific. Please contact me if you would like to see a copy of the article writing guidelines
