Directions: Work with your group to do the following: 1. Take out a sheet of paper! 2. Sort the song lyrics into the figurative language categories to which they belong. 3. If a lyric can fit into more than one category, put it under the “Multiple” category. When your group is finished sorting, work on your OWN to do the following: 4. Choose your favorite song lyric. 5. Write the lyric NEATLY on a piece of computer paper (ask Miss Soto for the paper). 6. Write what type of figurative language it is under the lyric. For example, simile, metaphor, etc. 7. Draw a picture of the lyric. 8.
