Photoshop is a very useful piece of software, allowing a user to produce various styles of work, the most common being photomanipulation, cell-style colouring and digital painting and airbrushing.

This is an example of very basic photomanipulation.

A set design produced by using several layers, and a mixture of photomanipulation and painting with special brushes.

Photoshop – ‘A Midsummer Photoshop – ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’Night’s Dream’A costume design produced in Photoshop. The drawing was scanned into the computer, then used as the top layer, set on multiply so that it could be worked on and the line work would still be present.

The work was produced through a mixture of cell-style colouring and overlaying a photo to produce textures.
