Digital/Softcopy photogrammetry• Softcopy photogrammetry is based on digital (softcopy)

raster image as distinct from conventional photogrammetry, based on film (hardcopy) images

• Digital systems are considered third generation photogrammetric instruments (workstation-Digital image Analytical Plotter -DiAP), after analytical (second generation) and analog (first generation) stereo-plotters

• Equipment used in digital photogrammetry include Computer, Scanner, CCD cameras, LCD Eyewear (stereo viewing)

• Orthophoto and Digital Elevation Model (DEM) can be generated from Softcopy photogrammetry
