Digital innovations and their impact on businesses and organisations are around us every day. We can all recognise how swiftly the advent of big data and analytics, cloud computing, social media, the ‘Internet of Things’ and mobile can overturn conventional ways of doing business.

Investing in your digital skills is a must for every business at this time, but many businesses are yet to address this issue at senior executive and board levels. This programme aims to provide an effective and successful means of achieving those skills through an advanced training programme offering support, mentoring and training.

By engaging in this programme you will:

• access the latest strategic thinking on digital business

• be exposed to new business models

• develop ways to increase productivity in your business

• forge new business relationships with others improving their digital leadership, strengthening our local supply chain and economy.

Why do you need digital leadership?

Why …?

… are businesses failing in the digital age?

There is a disconnect between digital potential and business strategy, along with poor investment in leadership skills.

… do leaders lack digital knowledge?

Historically, digital (IT) has been delegated to technical and operational managers who have often been disassociated with the business strategy and decision making process.

… is digital a strategic consideration?

Agile and innovative developments offer a major competitive advantage, as well as improved resource management and efficiencies.

“This course has given me the tools and stimulus to address the challenges facing our business. Engaging with others and viewing what is possible has equipped me to drive these changes forward and explore opportunities.”

Caroline Williams, Operations Director - Appen

“We now consider technology as a solution in many more scenarios. It’s not just used for project planning, but is also being used for marketing plans and new product development. Some departments were being a little resistant initially but are now seeing the huge benefits it brings.”

Andrew Parkhouse, Operations Director - Axminster Tools and Machinery
