Former adult learners from Hartlepool College of Further Education are now reaping the benefits thanks to a range of different adult courses.

Former SSI Steel worker Alan Clark, entrepreneur Lewis Marr and chef Ryan Healey all attended the College and have gone on to great things.

Alan, who now represents his community as a councillor completed an Access to Humanities course.

He said: “I’ve been given a new focus and a second chance at life as a result of my course and I’d recommend it to anyone. It was challenging, but I was supported every step of the way.”

We offer a range of Maths and English courses - - Entry Level, Level 1 and Level 2 Functional Skills English- Entry Level, Level 1 and Level 2 Functional Skills Maths- GCSE English Language and Mathematics

Anyone can do it. Courses are open to anyone who does not already have GCSE maths/English at grade A*-C or 9 – 4.

Both Functional Skills and GCSE classes are held at various times during the week with courses starting in September and finishing in June. So pop along to our specialist Open Event. All welcome.

*Courses are only free if you do not have a level 2 or equivalent GCSE in English or mathematics.
