01As an introduction to Digital Art, I was tasked with creating four animal icons using only simplified and primitive shapes.

I chose four animals that all have some meaning to me and who have all contributed to who I am, with the red, black, and white color scheme signifying the strength and power those animals have brought out in me.

The four animals are facing each other to show the connection between them while also being different and unique in their own way.

02When creating this project, I knew I wanted to focus on different ethnicities and cultural backgrounds to help tell the story.

As a people, we tend to absorb personality traits and differences of the people who surround us, and because of this we are all compilations of the world around us.

With a quick snapshot, vibrant color and life is brought into our lives with the influence of others—regardless of ethnicity or cultural background.

Faces

03Meet Cosmo, the one of the few remaining living things on a baron Earth, and her nemesis Earth-B-Gone.

Dedicating her existence to restoring harmony and peace by bringing life back to the infertile land, she must defeat EBG in his efforts to end all life by releasing fumes and pesticides into the atmosphere.

The future of all living things on Earth is left in the hands of this unconventional hero and her will for a better life.

04With this project, I had to take the characters from my unconventional hero story, and create a game where the hero overcomes their obstacles.

This is a snapshot at the end of the first level where Cosmo has succeeded in avoiding obstacles such as oil spills, while bringing life back to the baron earth.

You can see EBG looming high in the sky, acting as a motivator for Cosmo, and the dry desert in the background, indicating all that she has left to restore.

05My hypothetical business is a baby boutique called “Elephant in the Room”.

From clothes to bottles and furniture, the boutique and specialty-item feel and affordability of our products is what sets us apart from any other store.

The pastel purple signifying luxury and peace and the whimsical and juvenile feel of a sketched type in contrast to the thin more sophisticated feel of a sans-serif font maintains the lighthearted feel of the brand while communicating elegance.A
