Printing InstructionsWhen printing this pattern it is important to print it full size. When you bring up the print dialog
box look in the “Page Sizing & Handling” section. Make sure the “Actual Size” is selected
before you hit print.
You also only need to print the page/s you need. After the print dialog opens look for the
“Pages to Print” section. You can print the current page or a range of pages. This will help
save ink by not printing the title/instruction pages.
Model Sail Boat
One inch dowel cut on an angle.
I used 1/8” dowel here and sandedit flat on one side. You can just cutflat stock if that is what you gave.
The hull of the boat is layered 1/4” thick Baltic birchplywood. It is then contoured by sanding into the shape
of a boat hull.
I used CA glue and spray activator to assemblethis model. It is much easier than trying
to clamp these pieces together while wood glue dries.
To build the front rail I cut 1/8” dowel with an Exactoknife and CA glued the rail together.
I also used 1/8” dowel for the mast pieces. Thedowel was sanded flat on one side and CA glued
to the sails.
If you do not have 1/8” dowel just cut the flat stockfor the mast and round over the edges.
