A Firm Foundation: Over the past year, the Session has ex-plored ways to address the serious foundation issues in the Pre-KWing of the church. After hearing presentations from two compa-

nies which address such building concerns the Session voted toaccept a bid from FSI in the amount of $32,000. The work will

begin on May 29. During this time the Pre-K classrooms will beemptied and the contents will be stored in Rooms 3 and 5. Addi-tionally, the Session has approved a bid of $8,840 from StarlingGuttering Inc., and guttering has been installed on the church toaddress some of the water diversion issues so that the foundationwill not be further compromised. Other water diversion strategiesare also planned. As we have done with other major projects inthe past (e.g., the narthex and the kitchen), needed funds areborrowed from the churchs savings and we work to repay oursavings through contributions designated for the Building Fund.Currently, we have $16,211.49 in the Building Fund. As you areable and feel led, please make contributions to the Building

    Fund.

This is a multi-centerfacility for those who are in nursing care, rehabilitation, and hospice. The worship servicelasts for approximately thirty minutes and includes all the elements enjoyed during our SundayServices. We need volunteers to sing, read, or just visit with those who attend. It is a blessingto all and a great opportunity to reach out to those who cannot normally attend Christianservices.
