Step 2: Identify potential customersOnce you’re familiar with the product, it’s time to identify people you know who may be interested in safe, natural home fragrance with the benefits of an oil diffuser and the beauty and craftsmanship of Scentsy warmers. TIPS FOR SHARING SAMPLESSharing samples is easy. The following tips will help increase your chances of sale:

Before heading out to share your samples, rehearse what you’d like to say. Write it down and practice until you feel comfortable. Use the conversation starters provided in this document, contact your upline or access the Training Centre if you need help figuring out what to say.

When handing out samples, be sure to get your recipient’s contact information so you can follow up with them later. Use the Customer Information Sheet located on the Resources tab of your Workstation.

EXPERIENCING THE SCENTSY DIFFUSER AND SCENTSY OILS AT A PARTYTo fully enjoy Scentsy Oils they must be experienced with the Scentsy Diffuser, and the best way to experience them together is at a party! Whether you choose to incorporate the Scentsy Diffuser and Scentsy Oils into an existing party or feature them separately, here are some ideas to ensure a successful party experience:

INCORPORATING THE SCENTSY DIFFUSER AND SCENTSY OILS AT AN EXISTING PARTY

Present the new Scentsy Diffuser and Scentsy Oils first. This is a new product and will most likely produce more questions than our warmers and wax. Educate yourself using training provided in your Resources tab and the Training Centre.

After demonstrating the Scentsy Diffuser, turn off the misting options and just enjoy the LED lights. Once the unit is off, the fragrance will no longer disperse, allowing you to demonstrate the warmer without overpowering the room with different fragrances.

If you want your guests to experience both systems, set up the diffuser and warmers in different rooms so you can run them simultaneously.

HOSTING A DIFFUSER-ONLY PARTY

Host a theme party, such as a spa party, to focus on the natural experience the diffuser provides. Serve healthy and natural refreshments, play relaxing music and talk about creating daily rituals with the diffuser

Host a diffuser-specific Facebook or basket party. This allows you to highlight just the diffuser and oils, but still refer guests to the catalogue or your PWS for information regarding additional product options like traditional warmers and wax.

If possible, display multiple diffusers in different rooms, such as a bedroom, office, and an en suite bathroom. Ask the Host if you can move from room to room to experience the products. As you visit each room, provide ideas for using the diffuser in that setting, suggest oils to set a mood and help your guests imagine how they can incorporate the diffuser into their daily routines.

Step 5: Overcome objectionsExperiencing the Scentsy Diffuser and Scentsy Oils is a powerful way to encourage sales. Even if people love the product, they may be hesitant to make the investment. Below are examples of some common objections that you may encounter at a party, and ideas for appropriate responses. Remember the more you know about our products, the better, so familiarize yourself with the tools and resources available to you.

I’m happy with my traditional warmer and wax setup.It’s important not to position the Scentsy Diffuser system against our warmers and wax; remember these two systems were not designed to compete against each other.

Both systems deliver exceptional fragrance experiences and some customers may prefer one system over the other. Consider loaning them a diffuser and a few samples so they can experience the difference themselves.

I have allergies; I don’t think this will work for me.Scentsy Oils contain simple formulas and all ingredients are disclosed. Encourage your customers to review the ingredients so they can evaluate their appropriateness for the health and comfort of their family.

I need to talk to my husband/wife.Offer to set up a time with the customer and their spouse to demonstrate the product. Be sure to send them home with information on the product and its benefits to help them make their decision, such as a Scentsy Oil sample, a Scentsy Diffuser Customer Information Sheet (available in the Scentsy Family Store), an order form and your business card.

It’s not in the budget.Let them know hosting a party is the best way to get products free or at a discount.

I need to think about it. Highlight the product features and benefits, including the lighting features, automatic shut off, warranty and our return policy. Tell them when you will close the party and let them know the advantages of buying now versus buying later. By buying now, their Host

will earn free and Half-Price Host Rewards. If they place their order after the party has closed, their Host will not earn rewards. If they choose not to purchase the Scentsy Diffuser at the party, the best option is to have a party of their own. Their Host will earn a half-price item as a Perpetual Party Reward, and they will earn their own free and Half-Price Host Rewards.

I don’t know if I would use it.Our most glowing product reviews come from people who use the diffuser as part of their daily routine to promote relaxation, prepare for bed, unwind after a hard day, energize when they come home from work, or focus on homework or reading. Lend them a diffuser and some samples and encourage them to create their own rituals around the diffuser.

Step 6: Follow upYour job isn’t over once you’ve handed out samples or let potential customers experience the Scentsy Diffuser. Be sure to follow up with everyone you’ve distributed samples to or shared the experience with to see how they liked it. The following tips will help you close the sale or book more parties:
