Brigitte Diet

The Brigitte Diet comes from a popular women’s magazine in Germany.

One is supposed to eat fewer calories with fruits and vegetables playing a large role.

Exercise is a big part of this diet. Fish is eaten two to three times a week and

meat is eaten once a week. Dieters are only supposed to eat 1000

calories a day.

Dr. Schlusener’s Diet Schlusener is a doctor from Oberhaus, Germany who

created a diet that is spreading around the country. This diet lasts three weeks and you are only allowed to eat

360 calories a day. You are supposed to drink at least 1.5 liters of fluids and 3

cups of Nierentee tea (Kidney or Java tea in English) daily. You begin this diet with a session of acupuncture. The diet is 6 portions of fruit and vegetables a day, but you

may substitute 2 Wasa style crackers for each portion. After you complete the diet, you must fast one day a week for the rest of your life in order to keep the weight off.

German Diet

Fish is to be eaten 4 times a week and white meat is supposed to be eaten 5 times a week.

You are supposed to eat eggs 3 times a week and fruit 3 times a day.
