Remedial Professions Committee The Secretary of State for Social Services and the Secre- taries of State for Scotland and Wales have set up a com- mittee to consider the function and interrelationship of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and remedial gymnasts in the National Health Service, their relation to other personnel concerned with reablement, and the broad pattern of staffing required. Sir Ronald Tunbridge is the chairman and the members include Dr. D. Bennett, Dr. F. S. Cooksey, and Prof. R. B. Duthie. Medical Research Council Prof. H. J. Evans has been appointed director of the M.R.C. Clinical and Population Cytogenetics Unit at the Western General Hospital, Edinburgh, in succession to the late Prof. W. M. Court Brown. British Association of Urological Surgeons The following have been elected officers of this Associa- tion for 1969-70: President, Mr. W. S. Mack; immediate past president, Mr. A. W. Badenoch; vice-president, Mr. J. D. Fergusson; hon. treasurer, Mr. I. H. Griffiths; hon. secretary, Mr. C. H. Kinder; hon. editorial secretary, Mr. W. Keith Yeates.
