Diamond cutting blades

Background The 2012 KLINGSPOR range of diamond cutting blades has been

completely revolutionized and replaces our previous diamond range. More

than 70 product variants cover all fields of applications and offer fatigue-

proof operations due to less vibrations and simultaneous higher

performance and oSa certified safety. For the first time, with the new 100

series we offer forged segments which provide a particular running

smoothness, break resistance and safety. Even during intensive continuous

operation an interruption of work due to vibration load is no longer

necessary. At the same time the new blades of the 100 series do not only

distinctly exceed the requirements of the EN 13236 safety standard, but also

the breaking strength values of common wheels manufactured with standard

sinter techniques.

Availability The products of the new KLINGSPOR diamond blade range will be available

as from 15th March 2012. Please promptly prepare a stock range matched

with your market in coordination with Mr. Partsch and your area manager.

Miscellaneous The diamond cutting blades currently still included in our 2012 price-list will

be sold off and be discontinued from the range.

As the new 2012 KLINGSPOR diamond range is a completely new product

assortment, we would explicitly appreciate your feedback on your market

experience with the new products and the compilation of the range.

Basically it is possible to supplement the range with further manufactured

items. We will, however, handle such expansions of the range restrictively

and permit them only in case of proven requirement.

Prices The intercompany prices are already stored in SAP. Please promptly take

over the material masters and update your list-prices.

Market price In spite of the distinctly higher performance level of the products of the new

diamond range the price positioning still corresponds to the previous

diamond range.

KLINGSPOR DS 100: the premium line for the most rigorous requirements

Economical cutting of mineral materials often requires the use of diamond cutting discs.

Optimal cutting performance is only possible, however, if the tool, material and machine are optimized to work together.

KLINGSPOR segmented diamond cutting discs from the 100 series show their strength here: thanks to an innova-tive production technology, they perform brilliantly even in very challenging applications.

User convenience is also enhanced, since the new forging process for manufacturing the segments now enables segment geometries with minimal distances between the individual segments.

The result: High-performance diamond cutting discs with a substantially lower vibration load during use (see Figure 1). Even when used intensively in continuous operation it is no longer necessary to interrupt work due to vibrations.

Safety is also improved by the new production process: KLINGSPOR diamond cutting discs with forged segments surpass by far not only the requirements of the EN 13236 safety standard, but also the breaking resistance values of conventional discs manufactured using stan-dard sintering technology (see Figure 2).

Even in the case of high segments (see above) there are no large gaps between the single segments. This signifi cantly reduces vibrations during operation (see below).

The high-density, pore-free segments (see above) result in welding properties with signifi cantly higher resistance to fracture (see below).
