Last weekend was the Mid-summer
weekend in Finland. The Mid-summer
means that the sun doesn’t set at all. It’s
a big festival to enjoy with good friends
to eat and drink. We also joined some of
our Finnish friends here in Shanghai. We
had a nice picnic and spent the night
eating and drinking.
Juha came to visit us for the festival. On Saturday morning we went to
the Zoo to see the pandas and other animals. It was a burning hot day and,
as you can imagine, the pandas don’t feel like exercising during that kind o
f weather. So, we left the zoo early for lunch.

After having the feast in Xintiandi, we went to a new bar area called N
ew Factories near Jing’an Temple. We
stayed there chatting while waiting for the
Chinese Music Concert at 7:30 pm.
The concert was wonderful. We all
enjoyed it. As Juha was feeling really tired
after the whole day trip, he left early. My
friends and I still felt like partying, so we
stayed at the Always Friday Bar around the
midnight. We didn’t head home to sleep till
11:30 pm. Unfortunately we never got home because Juha had security lo
cked the door and he didn’t wake up. As there was no other way to do, we
went to a cinema and had a movie night. Happy end!
