Diabetes Alert! Diabetes & Stress
What is your experience with theadded actor of stress (good or
bad) and fasting bloodglucose levels?
Over the last week, I haveexperience several
major stressors
and noticed… (how couldanyone help but notice?)
my fasting blood glucosenumbers bumped up about
GOOD STRESSOR #1: I retired froma long time career I truly loved doing.
GOOD STRESSOR #2: At the same time, I retiredfrom being the legal guardian for
a mentally ill woman.
Bad Stressor # 1- My computer virus that robbedme of several hours as I struggled to
eradicate it completely.
Honestly, I pray thoseresponsible for such
Bad Stressor # 2- I got called at 9:51 p.m. lastnight from the ER room.
They had not gotten the "I retireas guardian" memo. (Yes, it messed with my sleep!)
+ 65Fasting blood glucoselevel this morning - up65 points. EGADS!!!(Everything else the
same.)
