In 1978 DHL opened its first office in Africa and since then has developed an extensive network of offices

Oceanfreight – Germany South Africa:

• We operate our own DHL LCL network globally, we serve more than 45,000 point pairs with around

2,800 scheduled direct sailings per week.

• For the LCL Exports out of Germany we`re using our CFS in BRE & HAM to serve the main

destination ports in South Africa:

DUR = weekly own dedicated Consol Box with fixed closure time line ( 28 days Port to Port )

CPT = weekly own dedicated Consol Box with fixed closure time line ( 23 days Port to Port )

PLZ = weekly own dedicated Consol Box with fixed closure time line ( 21 days Port to Port )

JNB = via DUR ( 32 days Port to Port )

Africa = multiple direct services to other African markets on either weekly or bi-weekly basis

Carrier partners = Maersk / DAL / MOL

• In 2017 we handled approx. 3000 CBM of Oceanfreight LCL Export into South Africa

• In 2017 we handled approx. 5400 TEU of Oceanfreight FCL Export into South Africa

• FCL = we have a dedicated Reefer / Wine & Spirits team to cater for specific industry needs

• Distribution to other African destinations – DGF ZA offers an extended Road Freight network with time
