Shipment Value Protection

We recommend our comprehensive protection for your valuable or personal shipments, in the unlikely event of physical damage or loss. Shipment Value Protection based on the value of the contents provides even greater peace of mind.

Weekend Delivery

We offer delivery service on Saturday. Please verify the destinations availability with DHL DCT.

Shipment Preparation

Convenient, fast and reliable service for seasonal or irregular shipments that require extra resources for preparation. DHL Express manages the process of Air Waybill preparation, content selection, labeling and packaging, and then sends the parcels to the designated domestic or international business addresses. Subject to service charges that are available on request.

Duties & Taxes Paid

To make exporting your shipment even easier, DHL Express can arrange for the shipper or a third party to be billed for any import duties or taxes, rather than the usual process of billing the recipient of the shipment. Service subject to fees, whenever the sender requests that taxes and regulatory fees be paid outside the country of destination.

DHL Express reserves the right to charge for Optional Services, Customs Services and apply additional fees in certain situations.


SURCHARGES

Fuel Surcharge

A variable surcharge is applied to the weight charge of each shipment. This is derived from publically available fuel oil indices that are accessible on the DHL Express website at www.dhl.com. The charge is adjusted every month to the oil price that was set two months prior to the current billing month. The Fuel Surcharge applies to domestic and international shipments.

Remote Areas

A fixed surcharge is applied when a shipment is sent to or imported from remote locations such as islands and/or mountains. The surcharge for remote areas is billed as a minimum or per kg rate, adopting the higher value. The Remote Area surcharge applies to domestic and international shipments

Over Weight Piece

A fixed surcharge is applied to any piece that exceeds the scale weight of 70 kg. The Over Weight Piece surcharge applies to domestic and international shipments.International shipments: R$67,65

Over Sized Piece

A fixed surcharge is applied to any non-palletized piece with a single dimension in excess of 120 cm, or any pallet with a base dimension in excess of 120 cm. The Over Sized Piece surcharge applies to domestic and international shipments.

International shipments: R$67,65 Domestic shipments: R$26,65

Over Handled Piece

A fixed surcharge is applied to any pallet within a shipment which due to shape, packaging or content is not stackable. The Over Handled Piece surcharge applies to domestic and international shipments.

International shipments: R$67,65Domestic shipments: R$26,65

Address Correction

A fixed surcharge is applied to any shipment with an incorrect shipping address at the time of collection, causing the delivery to not be completed after efforts are made to determine the correct destination address. The Address Correction surcharge applies to domestic and international shipments.

DHL Express delivers documents and parcels door-to-door to over 1,500 towns and cities across Brazil. We now offer a 9:00, 10:30 or 12:00 hrs delivery time to many towns and cities. For other destinations our standard 18:00 hrs delivery commitment applies. Please check your delivery options when making a pickup request. DHL Express can take care of your shipments up to 300 kg.

CUSTOMS CLEARANCE SERVICE

Customs Clearance – Corporate

For airfreight import, DHL Express offers the option of using its own customs broker. Rate for up to three additions. Add R$40,00 for further additions and corrections.

Temporary Import or Temporary Admission

Specialized service for analysis and monitoring of temporary import process. DHL Express performs all the administrative procedures for the material being cleared and works out all specifics for compliance with legal requirements.

Import License (LI)

Specialized service for licensing import of shipments, where the nature of the shipment or the type of transaction is subject to governmental controls. DHL Express arranges the import license, and supervises the process until clearance in the authorizing agency.

Express Consent Service

Advisory service for monitoring of processes that relate to consenting bodies, and preparation of documents required for import and registration with the Federal Bureau of Agriculture.

Application Service - Ministry of Agriculture + FBA Regis-tration in Sao Paulo

Advisory service for monitoring processes relating to authorizing bodies, and preparation of documents required for import and registration with the Federal Bureau of Agriculture.

Removal (Customs Transit Declaration – DTA)

Customs transit service to the final destination specified by the customer. The commission rate is in addition to the costs of the DTA with the licensed third party.Rate R$: 420,00

Redirection and Return (RTO)

DHL Express advisory services for shipment return authorization. Monitors the process in the Receita Federal (Department of Federal Revenue of Brazil) and requests authorization in the sector responsible.

Forfeiture or Abandonment (Unclaimed Cargo Handling

Document – DMCA)

DHL Express performs a special operation to clear the cargo that is already in the forfeiture sector. It is an administrative procedure carried out via petition that allows importers to free themselves of responsibility for cargoes retained for more than 90 days.

Correction Letter (CCA)

The Correction Letter is used to regulate differences in tax documents.Rate R$: 165,00

Delivery Fee

Express air cargo shipment service including separation, conferring and delivery of document for customs clearance by third parties.

Shipments with Altered Categories

Dealing with shipments whose categories were altered by the federal revenue, i.e. sent as courier, but considered to be express cargo under the criteria of Brazilian law.

1. Payer account number and shipment value details. Please choose the method of pay-ment. For transport charges to be paid by the receiver or third party, specify the payer’s account number. If this is not specified, the invoice will be sent automatically to the shipper. To get Shipment Value Protection coverage, please specify the value of your shipment.

15. Shipment details. Enter the total number of pieces, the total weight rounded up to the nearest half- kg and the dimensions of your shipment in cm (length, width & height).

16. Full description of the contents. Give a detailed description of the items being shipped. The information provided must be accurate. If there is insufficient space, the Proforma or Commercial Invoice must give full details. The description of the contents on the Air Waybill should then state “Refer to Invoice”.

17. For non-document shipments only. Enter the declared value of the shipment’s contents.

18. Services. Indicate the required service by marking the appropriate boxes.

19. Air Waybill number.

20. DHL Express will not deliver to post boxes.


ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

HOW TO WEIGH AND PAY

Volumetric weightYou may be sending a large, lightweight shipment where its volumetric weight exceeds its actual weight. If so, the cost of the shipment is calculated on the space your consignment takes up on the aircraft. This is a standard IATA method.

To calculate the volumetric weight of your shipment simply multiply the length (cm) x height (cm) x width (cm) of the shipment package and divide the result by 5000.
