    RELATED CONCEPTS Mindfulness

Not successful in curbing the terrorists activities outsideIraq as evident by attacks on Spain & UK.

Even some of the respected figures in US itself wereagainst the mission.

    Sunk Cost Fallacy

The task which took the life of over 2000 soldiers needs tobe fulfilled.

With time & money put in the mission, retracting now willfeel like a failure.

    CONCLUSION Situation grave till 2007

High economic costs with expenditure around $563million which is more likely to rise upto $2trillion

U.S. press did not cover the war fairly

Govt. claimed that media was overly negative.

U.S intelligence had evidence that discovery ofweapons of mass destruction in Iraq was not true

Bush decided to withdraw all 5 surge brigades by July2008.

Bush failed to indicate what an interim partial successor an interim failure would look like.
