30 years ago a triumphal procession began for composite mate-rials. At that time the Institut für Verbundwerkstoffe (IVW) was founded in Kaiserslautern. As composite materials became more and more widespread in technology, the institute developed into an internationally recognized research institution that brings scientific findings from the basics to industry. Three decades of success of composite materials in Kaiserslautern are worth cele-brating. You are invited to join us at an international colloquium where the latest developments in materials, design and manufac-turing will be presented. The conference will be held both on-site and virtually.
