1 Development Ready Case Study – GCS Playbook (new development) Situation MetLife and GP Strategies needed an interactive way to centralize the GCS Academy functional knowledge so others can replicate it. Task The GP Strategies team developed an interactive iPDF for various MetLife regions. Action The knowledge resided with one ML SME; GP Design and Development teams interviewed the SME to extrapolate knowledge and content that would be instrumental in developing the product. The Design and Development Team worked together to develop the content, graphics, and functionality of the solution. A content developer created the narrative and scripts, an instructional designer designed the storyboard, and the development team created the iPDF based on the specifications and branding guidelines. The entire project took two (2) months to complete once initiated. Situation GCS needed to make content edits and branding updates to an existing 5-week ILT program. Task The GP Strategies team developed templates based upon new ML branding. Content and branding updates were applied to over 1,400 artifacts. Action The MetLife SMEs red-lined the ILT artifacts with the updates needed. GP created new document templates and the GCS SMEs and Leadership reviewed and approved the templates prior to content updates being implemented. Once templates were approved, the GP Development Team updated all artifacts and released in 5 batches to the GCS Team.
