Make the tool more user friendly…
Lead Assessor Functionality
• Provides functionality to reassign assessments to different assessors within the same company
• Helps multi-assessor organisations to manage assessment distribution
Report Archiving
• Provides functionality to move assessments to and from an archive “folder”
• Allows assessors to organise their work summary screen
Bulk Certificate Download
• Allows assessors to download their certification faster, with fewer clicks
And Many Other Minor Changes…• Mandatory issues made bold on the issue

• Search functionality added to the work summary screen
• Mandatory fields have been made more obvious through the use of red asterisks
• “Submitting” message displayed whilst the system communicates with the server

Assessment Phasing
• Allows phases to be created from a “master” assessment• Assessment details, spec ID’s, evidence entries, notes and
dwelling assignments present in the master assessment copied to each phase created
• Reduces the amount of data input required
Simplification of Spec ID Detail Forms
• In February 2010 an update was released that simplified 30 of the 34 spec ID detail forms
• In some cases (such as Ene9 above) 8 fields were removed from the spec ID form, substantially reducing the amount of data entered onto the system
Pre-Population of Evidence Lists for Individual Issues
• Select pre-defined evidence as per the relevant technical guide, rather than type entries in from scratch
• Reduction in the amount of data entry required
Functionality to “Assign” Evidence to relevant Issues
• Earlier system flaw of having to re-enter evidence multiple times corrected
• Functionality to assign evidence to other issues where it also applies added to the system
• Reduction of multiple evidence input
Improvement of QA/certification process

Planned improvements
Improve the mechanism for assigning Spec ID’s to dwellings
• Currently reviewing the existing process.• Improvement will reduce assessment completion time
Producing an offline local version of the CSH system
• Possibility to use the CSH tool offline.
• Upload/synchronise offline data when connecting on internet.
Other planned improvements
• Add more certificate preview functionalities to limit the number of certificate amendments
• Streamline back office processes to decrease QA/certification turnaround time
• Streamline internal helpdesk process
Impact of Nov 2010 Scheme on the
online tool
Summary of changes which are reflected in the system
• Number of credits has changed for some issues
• Decimal number of credits for Ene1 – Ene2
• Ene2 is a mandatory issues
• Was2 is not anymore mandatory
Impact on CSH online tool user• From the 9th December all new assessments
registered on the tool will be under Nov2010 scheme.
• Contact BRE if a project need to be registered as a pre Nov 2010 scheme
• No impact on assessor completing Pre Nov 2010 assessments (registered before 9th
December)
