Deutsche Gesellschaft für Flöte e.V. Vita Jørn Eivind Schau Jørn Eivind Schau, was trained at the Royal Academy of Music in London and the Norwegian Music Academy in Oslo. He has served with the major Norwegian orchestras, and was aliated with the Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra for several years. Alongside his full time position as Associate Professor of Flute at the University of Agder, he has held teaching posts at the University of Tromsø and the University of Trondheim. Schau is a frequent guest at international festivals and flute conventions. As a concert flautist and University master-clinician he has visited Sweden, Denmark, Finland, England, Poland, Albania, Germany, Hungary, France, Turkey and the US. His special interest for flute ensembles has led to numerous workshops in Europe and the US, and close collaboration with composers to expand the flute ensemble repertoire. The discography includes work-dedications by Trygve Madsen and Hans Magne Græsvold, UiA- colleagues Konrad Øhrn and Terje Mathisen, and Baroque concertos by Bach, Händel and Vivaldi. He is an experienced University adjudicator and regularly serves in jury-panels for international competitions. Schau initiated the Norwegian Flute Society in 2009 and became the society´s first chair. He has been Artistic Director of the Norwegian Flute Festival since 2011.

Vita Jørn Eivind Schau
