4. GENERAL REQUIREMENT
4.1 General requirements for PTs & DPTs: a. Each Instrument shall have SS Name plate permanently fastened to the Body, which
shall be visible when instrument is in service. b. All studs/bolts c. of Alloy or Stainless steel acc to ASTM A 193 gr B8 and all nuts of Alloy or Stainless
Steel acc to ASTM A 194 Gr 8. d. All the wetted parts wherever not specified shall be SS316. e. Copper material shall not be used for any part of the Instrument.
4.2 Fittings and adapters wherever used to match process end connection requirements as mentioned in the tender shall be of Swagelok make only.
4.3 The vendor shall give guarantee for the material for the period of 12 months from the date of commissioning or 24 months from the date of receipt at site, whichever is earlier.
4.4 Vendor should fill make & model no. in Technical Bid for SOR-A (for PTs) and Technical Bid for SOR-B (for DPTs).
4.5 For quoting the cost, vendor should refer to commercial bid format. All taxes and duties

shall be quoted extra where ever applicable. Bidders shall quote in the following three price bid formats: A). PRICE BID (Total cost of SOR-A & SOR-B) B). SOR-A PRICE BID (for PTs) C). SOR-B PRICE BID (for DPTs) Bidder must ensure that basic cost of SOR-A & SOR-B quoted in OVERALL PRICE BID shall match with the respective SOR-A PRICE BID & SOR-B PRICE BID. In case of discrepancy, cost mentioned in PRICE BID shall be final.
4.6 All accessories such as nuts, bolts, U clamps etc. for installation of PTs and DPTs shall be supplied by bidder.
4.7 Transmitters are required as replacement to the existing old pneumatic Tx. 4.8 Materials are required to be delivered to Stores Officer, Heavy Water Plant (Tuticorin), PO-HWP Colony, Muthiapuram, Tuticorin-628007.
4.9 Installation & commissioning of these transmitters are not in the scope of supplier. 5. DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED ALONG WITH THE OFFER
5.1 Vendor should submit duly signed and stamped copy of Tender Specification and deviation if any to be brought out.
5.2 Vendor should list out supplier’s offered specs & deviations if any w.r.t. technical specs & submit along with the bid duly signed and stamped by him.
5.3 The detail catalogue of the offered models of sensor / transmitter shall be submitted along with the offer.
5.4 List of location / company with Name of concerned person, address, phone no. , fax no. where the offered transmitters (for the similar service) are installed shall be enclosed along with the offer. Bidder should also enclose along with the bids the satisfactory performance certificate of the system issued by the company where it is installed.
5.5 The performance of the systems already installed by the vendor shall be checked after opening of bid. If the same is found to be not satisfactory, then the bid may be rejected.
5.6 Vendor shall furnish the QAP at the time of submission of bid which will minimum include the tests mentioned below in Sr. No. 6.
6. TESTS AND INPECTION TO BE CARRIED OUT AT SUPLLIER WORKS
6.1 Vendor shall offer all the PTs and DPTs for inspection at their works before dispatch. 15 days advance notice informing readiness of the item at their works for final inspection shall be provided to HWB.
6.2 Randomly selected 20% of total quantity of PTs and DPTs shall be inspected to determine conformance with the specification with respect to material & workmanship.
a. Visual checks for sizes & dimension, serial no. & model no. as per approved datasheet (100% quantity shall be inspected visually).
b. Functional checks of the instruments. c. Calibration test & accuracy check: All the instruments shall be tested for five point
calibration and accuracy check. d. Hydrotest @1.5 times of design Pressure as per the process parameter
corresponding to the Tags.

e. The instruments shall be tested to confirm with respect to accuracy, linearity, zero error, repeatability and hysteresis.
f. HART communication checks. g. Reverse polarity protection shall be checked. h. Over range test as per the process data sheet .(The design of Differential
pressure transmitters shall permit either side of the element to be pressurized to the full working pressure with other side vented to atmosphere with no permanent damage or change in calibration)
7. DOCUMENTS & TEST CERTIFICATES TO BE SUBMITTED ALONG WITH DISPATCH
The supplier shall show the following documents in English language in 3 sets for verification of purchaser at the time of Pre dispatch Inspection for 100% qty of instruments and submit the same at the time of delivery. 7.1 Certified final dimensional drawings and weight. 7.2 Catalogue, Operation & Maintenance Manual giving complete details about that
instrument. 7.3 Connection Diagram (Process Hook-up Diagram) if available.
7.4 Material Composition test certificate from OEM or authorized Lab with tracking details
which can clearly show the same material is being used for transmitter parts as per the approved datasheet.
7.5 IP 65 certificate. (Type test certificate for each model nos. of PTs and DPTs being supplied)
7.6 Hazardous area classification certificate (Explosion proof certificate as per Ex ia IIC T4) of the instrument. (Type test certificate for each model nos. of PTs and DPTs being supplied).
7.7 Guarantee certificate. 7.8 Type test certificate for each model for Standard (general) environmental/ EMC test
etc. mentioned in product catalogue. 7.9 Type test certificate for each model for STATIC PRESSURE EFFECT ,POWER
SUPPLY EFFECT ,MOUNTING, POSITION EFFECT, STABILITY values given in the offer
7.10 Type test certificate for each model for specified accuracy (including linearity, hysteresis, & repeatability) values given in the offer.
Note: “Post supply inspection in respect of supplies made is not permitted. Any offer
containing the condition of post supply inspection will be out-rightly rejected. It is therefore, mandatory for the bidders, while quoting, to indicate in clear terms the requirement of post supply inspection by any outside agency.”
